9| Chemical Twists Of Feelings

It was 2 o'clock in the night but Tanya was still thinking about yesterday's incident and that's why she was unable to sleep. Moreover, she wasn't feeling well. She wanted to ask Jordan by messaging him but then she thought that it would not be a good idea to disturb him that late at night. She tried to sleep by closing her eyes and assuring herself that she would wait for the next day to find out everything.

The next morning, it was 7 o'clock when Tanya woke up. She instantly knew that she was gonna get late for college but before getting ready, she decided to check her phone. She picked up her phone from the nightstand and noticed that she had a text from Jordan which made Tanya completely alert.

Jordan : My suspicion was right Tanya . I spoke to Jahaan and he told me that he hasn't read that letter. When he found that letter in his novel and he saw your name on it, he thought that letter belonged to you and it might have got there when your novel got exchanged with him. Just don't think too much and come to college in a good mood, see you there.

Tanya got very happy after reading his text but in the next moment, she felt bad that she had talked to Tanya in such a bad way when it was even at fault. She now wanted to rectify her mistake and with that motivation, she got up from her bed to get ready for college.

As soon as she went to her closet to take out her clothes, she saw a note there which had her name written on it. She quickly understood that Illahi had kept it there. She picked it up and opened it.

"I know you didn't sleep well last night, so I am not coming to pick you up. If you don't feel like it, don't come to college today and take some rest", she read.

Tanya 's mood uplifted after reading that note and she decided that she would go to college.

When Tanya reached the college, she noticed that lectures hadn't started yet. She went to her locker and started taking out her books. All the students had come to the class and were waiting for the professor to arrive.

Jahaan , who always used to keep his books inside, kept looking at the seat next to him. His eyes were just fixed at the door as if he was eagerly waiting for someone. He took a look at his books and suddenly, he heard the sound of someone coming. He thought that this time it would be Tanya and he glanced towards the door with a slight smile, but that smile slipped off his face when he noticed that it was Professor Ana who was entering the class.

Before he could look back at his books, he saw someone running towards the class. This time he hoped it was the same person whom he had been wanting to see from the very beginning and when he saw Tanya coming towards the classroom, he could not take his eyes off her. As usual, she had a big smile on her face and on seeing that smile, Jahaan 's anxious mood vaporized.

His heart was beating rapidly as Tanya was walking towards him. He somehow controlled his feelings and turned his eyes away from Tanya and started looking back in his books. Jahaan was an introvert and could not openly show his feelings to anyone.

Tanya sat down on her seat panting and turned back to look at Jordan .

"Hey, do you have yesterday's lecture notes? I missed the class. I didn't even attend one class yesterday", she asked Jordan , breathless and after some time, she turned to Jahaan .

"Jahaan , will you give me the notes of the rest of the classes?" She asked with a hopeful gaze in his eyes.

Jahaan became a little nervous on seeing Tanya talking to him normally, but then somehow, he composed himself.

"No, I will not give you my notes. What if you take them, kick me and run away?" Jahaan taunted and Tanya knew that he was joking and wanted to clear the air between them after what happened yesterday.
