After three knocks, Illahi  finally woke up and headed towards the door. She opened the door without even opening her eyes. When she finally looked outside, she found nobody at the door.

Somebody had entered the room even before Illahi  could open her eyes. When she turned around, Illahi  found a lady walking inside their room.

"Hello, excuse me... how could you..." But before Illahi  could complete her question, the lady turned around.

"Oh... hello Mrs. Mehta . What a pleasant surprise. Please have a seat," Illahi  greeted. It was none other than Jahaan 's mom. She sat on the chair placed between the girls' beds.

Unaware of what was happening, Tanya  was sleeping soundly. When Mrs. Mehta  saw her sleeping, she smiled and said, "She looks so innocent while sleeping."

Illahi cleaned her bed in a jiffy and walked up to Tanya . She tried to wake her up, " Tanya , get up. Come on!".

Without opening her eyes, Tanya  turned around and mumbled, "What's wrong with you Illahi ? Yesterday, you were the one to say we are going to sleep all day long. Let me sleep, please!"

"Ah, get up right now and see who has come. Get up for once" Illahi  whispered in her ears.

Opening her eyes a little, Tanya  muttered, "Who has come? I can't see anybody".

"Not here you fool. Turn around and see for yourself. Jahaan's mom is here," Illahi  said angrily while shaking Tanya  by the shoulders.

When Tanya  noticed Mrs. Mehta , she got up with a start and sat straight. "Mrs. Mehta , wow what a gr.. great surprise. Good morning. How have you been?" Tanya  stuttered to speak.

Mrs. Mehta  started laughing at seeing Tanya  get so anxious.

"Stop it now you two. Sit here peacefully".

On hearing this, Illahi  got onto her bed and Tanya  kept sitting on hers.

"I know I have disturbed you two by coming here so early. I am really sorry," Mrs. Mehta  said with a chuckle.

"No, not at all. You haven't disturbed us even a bit. It was our fault that we were sleeping in so late" Illahi  spoke.

"Yeah, and you don't need to apologize at all. You are so elder than us. You should not say sorry" Tanya  chimed in.

"Yeah, I will just go and brew some coffee for you," Illahi  said while getting up.

"Yes, I will definitely have some coffee but let me finish the work for which I have come here. So, sit down for now" she pointed at Illahi  to sit.

"What happened, Mrs. Mehta ? Is everything ok?" Tanya  asked curiously.

"Yeah, all is well. I have just come here to ask what are your plans for the vacation?" Mrs. Mehta  asked while looking at Tanya .

"We have no plans as of now. But I think we will go out of town" Illahi  responded.

"That sounds fantastic. So, will you two accompany me for the trip?" Mrs. Mehta  asked excitedly.

Illahi and Tanya  exchanged nervous glances before Illahi  finally spoke up, "Trip? Where to, Mrs. Mehta ?"

"Well, Jahaan's dad and his friends have a great bonding with one another. In the same way, all of us ladies have our own friends' circle, and every year, we go on a trip together. It's just us and our kids. Jahaan , Jordan , Reeva , and a few other families will also go with us. We let our kids bring their friends too. So will you two...?"

"Yeah, I will go," Tanya  said at once on hearing jahaan's name.

"Every year, all the kids bring at least one of their friends but Jahaan  has never got any of his friends to the trips we take. But this time, I am really happy that at least some of his friends will accompany him. And Illahi , you too are coming with us. You cannot say no" Mrs. Mehta  said assertively.

"But Mrs. Mehta , where are we going? And for how many days? How much will it cost us?" Illahi  came up with her questions.

"Don't worry about the money. Before we go on any trip, we get together and decide the expenditure. Then, we collect the funds accordingly.  You guys don't have to worry about that. And yes, we are going to San Diego for a week" Mrs. Mehta  informed them.

"I hope your parents won't have any problem, right?"

"Yeah, if Illahi  goes with me, my parents won't have any issues," Tanya  instantly replied.

"And what about you, Illahi ?" Mrs. Mehta  asked.

"Well, I think they will let me go," Illahi  thought for a while and answered.

"If there is any problem, I can talk to your parents" Mrs. Mehta  offered.

"Yes, that will solve every problem, thank you Mrs. Mehta " Illahi  replied with a smile.

"Ok, now I will go and brew some coffee while you guys can carry on with your talks" Illahi  left after saying this.

"But Mrs. Mehta , Jahaan  has no idea that we know each other. So, how are you going to break this to him?" Tanya  asked.

"Hmm... this is what I was thinking about. But then I wondered why do I even need to tell him? You both can come with Jordan " Mrs. Mehta  suggested

"And what about Mr. Mehta ? Won't he have any objection? All our encounters have turned into disasters anyway!" Tanya  said.

"Oh! Don't worry about him. He has gone to London for some business work and won't be back before next month. And the men don't even interfere with our trips anyway" Mrs. Mehta  said smilingly.

Just then, Illahi  entered the room with a cup of coffee. After drinking it and talking for a while, Mrs. Mehta  started to leave.

"Both of you, start preparing for the trip. You can talk to Jordan  or call me up on my phone if you have any questions" she said while holding Tanya's hand. "We are going to have a lot of fun. This would also give you a golden opportunity to get closer to Jahaan " Mrs. Mehta  winked and left the apartment.

"Woah! What did just happen? San Diego -the dream destination!" Illahi  exclaimed.

"Yes Illahi , Diego is calling us" Tanya  joined in.

Both of them were delighted to go on the trip and the main reason behind Tanya's  happiness was of course Jahaan . This would give her a chance to know him better, get close to him, and make good memories too. They called up Jordan  and asked him to meet them to get a briefing of the trip.

"What exactly should we expect out of this trip?" Illahi  asked Jordan . The three of them were at a café near their college.

"So basically, these trips are planned by our moms, and which is why our dads are not included in it" Jordan  laughed.

"Ah... I don't get it. Please elaborate more" Illahi  said with a confused look.

"To put it in simple words all the ordinary things which are not "normal" for the wealthy people; we are going to do all that. We can go anywhere we want to, explore the place on our own terms and we will have no restrictions." Jordan  elaborated.

"Wow, this is going to be so exciting and adventurous. Come on, tell us more" Tanya  got very excited.

"We will also be allowed one night out where our moms would not accompany us but that is just for once. So, do not expect much" Jordan  grinned.

"Anyway, we will be leaving tomorrow at 10 in the morning. Make sure you guys are on time. We will all meet at one spot and introduce each other" he continued.

"So, we don't have much time for shopping, Tanya " Illahi  exclaimed.

"Yeah, and the worst part of the trip is Reeva  will also accompany us. She is always trying to seduce Jahaan  and he doesn't even give a damn. We get to watch the same show on every trip" Jordan  chuckled.

They all discussed the trip and then went back. However, while going back to her dorm, Tanya  kept thinking about the trip. On one hand, this was the perfect opportunity for her to spend more time with Jahaan ,  But on the other hand, she was nervous about her encounter with Reeva all over again. Tanya  anticipated how things would turn out with Reeva  .
