Y/N POV

I quickly hide my head in my hood, hoping he doesn't see my face as he walks past. George saw my face, albeit for a few seconds, but there was a chance he'd recognize me - and I didn't want to risk that. For now, and forever, I'm dead. To them. As he walked up to the podium, I felt a small sense of dread. George and Quackity, Vice President and President of L'Manburg? No matter how much I hate Wilbur, George, at least, would be 10 times worse, mainly because of his connection to Dream. Dream would surely get involved. He always does. Wilbur and Quackity shakes hands and step off, as George and Tommy get onto the podium. However, before they can start their debate, Sapnap comes up and makes an announcement. I didn't even see him. What's next, Dreams gonna appear and say he's running too?! "I have something to show the court!" Sapnap announces. I roll my eyes. What did Tommy do this time. Sapnap whispers a few things to Quackity at the side, before Quackity whispers something to George, and Tommy begins to talk. Now, I think I'd like to address the fact that the reason L'Manburg was created was for freedom. The Dream SMP wouldn't allow our rules, and it wouldn't tolerate us making our own separate kingdom! And I think that the fact George helped rig our land with TNT, exploded everything we owned and loved! My base, my embassy! And merely I had to give away my discs just to get L'Manburg back? The fact that we wanna keep that to our members, I think that is a completely fair point to make and the fact that you would pressure us out of doing that when we had to fight with our very hands and knees, my friends, and we had betrayals, I had to give away my discs that is my most prize possession..." Tommy rants, drawling off thinking about how he gave away his discs for the freedom of his country, only to possibly lose it in this election. George smirks. He has something up his sleeve. George certainly has changed over the past 6 months, it's obvious, but it's still obvious when he believes he has the upper hand. "All your talk about freedom here, yet you wanna lock it up to a certain type of people. I don't want to say it, but that seems almost... racist almost... TommyInnit." George says with a smirk. The whole crowd started oohing and ahhing at the allegations, while Tommy was taking deep breaths, trying to keep his anger in check. "All you care about is war. You know who wins in war?" George asks, building up confidence. Karl gasps dramatically. "No one wins in war, okay?" George says, and everyone begins to clap, following Quackity. "Nobody. Especially not the people. You are causing mayhem, okay? You are causing chaos, the people are hurting from it. They want peace within the land, and you are not allowing it." George accuses, and everyone claps even louder. Wilbur looks deeply worried, and distracted, and whispers something to Tommy that I couldn't hear over everyone's cheers. Tommy stays quiet for a moment, and when George is about to add on to his main point, Tommy decides to speak. "Shush Gogy." Tommy says with an almost serious look on his face. Everyone falls silent. George tries to speak again. "Shush, Gogy! Shush, Gogy!" Tommy repeats, and a few people begin to laugh. Soon, everyone starts arguing, shoving each other and yelling, the crowd yelling with approval. It was annoying, so I got up, and began to quietly leave. Jack stops me at the door. "Leaving so soon?", he asks with a smile. "Yep, unfortunately." I say, with a fake frown. I was so glad to get out of there, all the yelling was making me dizzy and gave me a headache. "Oh, alright then. I hope to see you around!" he says cheerfully before letting me begin to head back. As soon as I'm out of sight, I laugh and shake my head. If only he realized who he was talking too, he would regret saying that immediately.

Wilbur POV

This debate isn't going well. Especially with Tommy, bribing one of the impartial judges. This does not make POG2020 look well. While Tommy was talking, I see someone sitting in a dark cloak, in the back of the courthouse. I don't know why, but a part of me was drawn to them. I tried not to stare, but it was hard, they were so mysterious. Who were they?! However, I got distracted. The crowd yelling, Tommy, George, and Quackity fighting. I looked away, but as soon as I looked back, they were gone. The rest of the debate, I wasn't as focused on the debate. I mean, it was pretty obvious we were losing either way. I tried to figure out why that mysterious figure was so important to me, and who they were. I ask Jack at the end. "The girl in the black cloak? Oh, her name was Ivy. Nice fellow, had a really nice sword. Don't think she's from around here, though" Jack commented, and I nodded. Ivy didn't seem like anyone of importance. But why was my brain fixated on her? Must have just been my tiredness talking. Oh, well.

A/N: If only you knew Wilbur... if only you knew... lol. Fun fact, originally, Wilbur wasn't going to notice Y/N, but a reader commented that I should make it happen, so I added, and it fit well and gave me an idea for a future chapter. So thank you! Also, I don't know why, but this chapter was really hard to write. I didn't really know how to write the debate, as it goes back and forth, and has so many things happening, so I left a lot of it out. I'm sorry. But I have the next few chapters plot planned out, so it should be easier. Also, Wilbur/Y/N content coming soon... so watch out! Anyway, if you have any suggestions/things you want in the story, comment, and I'll try to incorporate it into the story. Stay safe, drink lots of water, eat, and remember we care about you <3. Thank you so much for reading, and I can't wait to see you in the next chapter!
