Y/N POV

I walk into the room, tension filling the air from my father and brother. I honestly did not care, I was here to help my friends. Otherwise, I'd be long gone. Dream and Schlatt stared, for different reasons, and I then realized that Dream wasn't wearing his mask. Probably not a personal choice. "You're wearing a dress?" Dream asks, and I shrug. "You hate dresses" he says, as I sit down at the table. "She did because I told her to Clay" Schlatt said, crossing his arms with a smirk. Dream just rolled is eyes, giving me a look to say, "And you asked me why we left". I ignored it. "Why did you call us for dinner, Schlatt?" I ask respectfully. "Dad" he corrected, and I grit my teeth. Stay calm Y/N, don't punch him Y/N, you're on a mission Y/N, don't ruin it Y/N... "Why did you call us for dinner, Dad" I repeat, as he smiles in triumph, and I get a bad taste in my mouth. "Well, I wanted to talk to Clay, and he wanted to see you, and we haven't had a family dinner in a while, and bang! It all came together!" Schlatt explained, and Dream rolled his eyes. "It's Dream, dad, and I wonder why we haven't had a family dinner..." Dream trailed off, and Schlatt's signature grin turned into a murderous glare. "Mhm, speaking of dinner, where is it. What's taking it so long" Schlatt grumbled, tapping his fingers on the table. Dream puts his mask on with a frown. "Can I go home now" he yawned, and I swear Schlatts face gets red in an instant. "You may not" Schlatt said, trying to hold in his anger, and I try to stifle a laugh. Unfortunately, Schlatt notices, and gives me a look that I've interpreted to mean "I want you to do something for me, you are going to do it and like it". "So... Y/N, how's the violin going" Schlatt asks, grinning. I freeze up, and Dream notices, freezing up, while also watching my reaction curiously. He saw the date of my old violin, smashed into a million pieces, onto the ground, over and over and over until it was unrecognizable. I hated the violin, and I loved it as well, it was a thousand emotions blended into a overthinking smoothie, guaranteed to cause anxiety. I loved the expression, the emotion you could put out, the songs I could play. I hated the fact I wasn't allowed to stop, or choose how I wanted to play it, or the fact I had to play it for everyone. I hate the fact I was forced into violin and singing lessons, but not allowed to learn sword fighting like Dream was allowed, because of my fathers backwards views. Or maybe I hated the violin cause it reminded me of my father. Maybe all of that. Schlatt stared at me waiting for a response. "I haven't played for a while" I finally answered blankly. Schlatt smiled again, as Dream stayed silent, alternating from watching for the food to looking down at his lap. "Well I guess you should be practicing, because you are playing at the festival" Schlatt said calmly, folding his napkin. "Excuse me ~ what now?" I reel back in shock. Schlatt looks past me to the door. "Oh look, dinners ready!" he cheered, as one of his servants walked in, struggling to carry all the plates in. I try to get up to help her, but Schlatt holds me back, as Dream gets up and helps her instead. "You are a woman of the government now Y/N. You're meant to be served, not to serve." Schlatt grins evilly. I glare back, knowing that nothing will come from arguing with him. "Anyway, back to what I was saying, I want you to play a piece at the festival, to show how great this family is. I mean, everyone knows me and Dream, and our achievements, but what have you achieved?" Schlatt asks, and I look down. Is he right? What have I achieved. Dream lightly kicks my leg, a silent reassurance, I'm not alone. "I have achieved a lot, and I'm not playing for all of L'Manburg." I state, my anxiety growing at the thought. I hate doing large public events. "Oh, but you will~" Schlatt laughs. "If you don't, well, you can say bye to Tubbo, first of all." he smirks, and I clutch my fists in anger. "And then, as soon as we find your Pogtopia friends, well, bye bye!" he jokes, though his eyes show he's deadly serious. "Tubbo!" he calls, still staring at me. When Tubbo walks in, I give Schlatt a resigned nod, causing him to smile. "Add a violin performance after your speech at the festival. Y/N has volunteered to preform." Schlatt says., and Tubbo turns to me, shocked. "I didn't know you could play, Y/N!" Tubbo smiled kindly, a good change from Dream avoiding eye contact, and Schlatts evil grins. "Hurry up Tubbo" Schlatt grumbles, and Tubbo nods, rubbing out, giving me a small wave. Schlatt scowls for a second, before smiling like he was moments prior. A scary mood change. "Now then, let's eat!"

Hello everyone, it's been a while. A long while. I'm so sorry, and I'll try to update more frequently. This chapter is being written in New York, as I've been on a school trip here for the past little while, another major factor on why I haven't updated. And again, I'm really really sorry. Also, I can't edit this chapter really well, since Im writing this on my phone, so sorry if it's bad, I'll try to edit it when im back in Canada. Anyway, if you have any suggestions/things you want in the story, comment, and I'll try to incorporate it into the story. Stay safe, drink lots of water, eat, and remember we care about you <3. Thank you so much for reading, and I can't wait to see you in the next chapter! And thanks for coming back after I was gone for so long :D
