Dream POV
After everyone left, it was just me and Schlatt. We walked in the most awkward of silences until we got to a small hut in a forest far from all civilization. "Come in, make yourself at home" Schlatt grinned. "I know it ain't no castle, but we'll have another one soon." he winked. "What are you doing here, Schlatt." I ask tiredly. "Dad." he corrected, and I rolled my eyes. "Weren't you the one who told me I'm no son of yours?" I ask, crossing my arms. He rolled his eyes. "Oh, Clay. You of all people should know that what happens in the past stays in the past" he said with a laugh. "Besides, I'm here now. How's your sister?" he asked, smiling. I freeze for a second, heart tightening. "She's dead." I whisper quietly, tears brimming my eyes. But he can't see them, because of my mask. I don't think he would've noticed without my mask, anyway. He never did before. He smiles. "Are you sure?" he smirks, and I turn around angrily. "Listen, Dad, you have some nerve to come here all these years, and to act like you know all this." I yell. He laughs. "Alright then. But when you see her at the elections, don't say I didn't warn you." he grins. I stare at him, silently. "What do you mean, at the next election? What is it that you think you know" I ask slowly. He grins. "That's for me to know and you to find out." he drawled. I punch the wall as he goes to the kitchen and grabs a bottle. "Want any?" he offers, holding a glass. I shake my head, and he shrugs. "Suit yourself" he says, pouring some into his glass. "I'm done with your games. Tell me what you know about Y/N." I spat, and he laughs menacingly. "Just some rumours. But if they are true, and she is back, well, that could pose a threat to my Presidency. I just wanted to warn you, if she's there, I will deal with it. My way." he threatens. "You shouldn't even be running for President, after what happened the last time you ran a kingdom." I mutter. His fists clench. "You should watch your tone, Clay." he said, expression dark, before he laughed it off. "Welp, look at the time, I've got to get some shut-eye before my important election tomorrow. I hope to see you there, if you can see yourself out." Schlatt grinned, gesturing towards the door. I leave steaming, walking all the way back to the SMP. Storming into my room, I slam the door, and sat in my chair. A few minutes later, somebody knocks on the door of my office. "Come in." I growl, and the door opens to reveal George and Sapnap. My gaze softens. "Hey, what's going on? You stormed in here like a crazy person." Sapnap says. "Nothing, just a bad time in L'Manburg." I brush off. "Hey, could you guys do me a favour?" I ask, and they nod. "Do a quick sweep of the land, and tomorrow during the elections, keep an eye out for anyone we know." I say tiredly. "Any clues on whom this mysterious someone is?" George asks, and I shake my head. "It's probably nothing, from an unreliable source, but I want to make sure." I reply, and they nod. "Aye captain!" Sapnap says, before leaving with George. Worried thoughts enter my head as soon as they leave. What happens when Schlatt is around? Nothing good.
Y/N POV
"Are you going to the L'Manburg elections?" Techno asked and I shook my head. You told me yourself. It's better to forget. It's a weakness." I say, sharpening my sword. He shrugged. "Just checking. And when I said that, I meant in a fight. In real life, if you forget, hide your emotions, or worse, become emotionless, you become a monster." he said, crafting some arrows. I frown. "Is this your way telling me to go to the elections?" I ask. He shakes his head. "Go or stay, I don't care. Just tell me who wins, so I know who to kill" he half-jokes. I shake my head with a smile. "Okay, I will." I surrender jokingly, and head to my room to grab a cloak from my closet, and a black mask to match. "I'll be back in a couple of hours!" I call to him. "Alright, don't kill anyone without me!" he shouts back, before I get on my horse, and leave. To L'Manburg.
The ride was short, but felt like an eternity. I don't know why Techno wanted me to go anyway. I can tell, he wanted me to go, for some reason. Reasons I will probably never find out. Finally, the wall and the flag appears in the distance. As well as a large crowd of people, some from L'Manburg, some from other places, wanting to see the spectacle. As I head towards the gate, I see Sapnap and George checking everyone who comes in. I stare at the wall. I guess I have to find another way in.
The wall was surprisingly easy to climb, and I made it in just in time for the announcement. I stand in the middle of the crowd, as Wilbur climbs onto the makeshift stage. "Thank you for coming here today, uh... to watch a historic moment! The passing over of the presidency for the first election of L'Manberg!" Wilbur yells, and the crowd erupts into cheers and applause. Wilbur takes a deep breath before continuing. "I have with me the election results of the four parties: SWAG2020, POG2020, Coconut2020, and Schlatt2020." he said, and everyone cheers while I sat there, shocked. Schlatt2020? Has to be a different Schlatt, he's dead. He can't be back. "There has been some voter fraud" Wilbur stated, staring at Fundy, and the crowd laughs. "I think the votes were legitimate. I think everything is fine...?" Fundy replied quietly. "Coconut2020 has had 120,000 disqualified votes." Wilbur laughed along with the crowd, and Fundy froze. "I think everything is fine, and we should continue with the votes as they were!" Fundy yells. "Moving on..." Wilbur says. "With 9% of the vote, or about 20,000 people... in fourth place... COCONUT2020!" Wilbur yelled. "Yay Fundy! 20,000 people voted for us!" Niki cheered, and Fundy cheered along in the crowd. "Next, in third place, with 16% of the vote, was Schlatt 2020." Wilbur said, and one man cheered in the front, but I was too far back to see who it was. If it was the Schlatt I was thinking of, which it couldn't be, thank god he lost. "Finally, in second place... with 30% of the popular vote... SWAG2020!" Wilbur said, and Tommy began to cheer loudly from the crowd. Everyone begins to cheer, but when I look at Wilbur, he isn't cheering. In fact, he looks worried. Something's about to happen. "Listen, everyone, stop cheering!" Wilbur cried out, and the crowd all falls silent. "Wilbur, what's going on?" Tommy asks, still smiling. Wilbur sighs. "Two nights ago, on the night of the election, Quackity made a deal with the leader of Schlatt2020. Quackity said that no matter what happens, Quackity would pull SWAG2020 votes on with Schlatt2020 votes." Wilbur said quietly. Quackity began to cheer. "What are you saying, Wilbur?" Tommy asked quietly. "POG2020 got 45% of the popular vote, meaning that the coalition government of SWAG and Schlatt2020 got 46% of the popular vote! MEANING THAT TONIGHT, ladies and gentlemen, on Tuesday the 22nd of September 2020, Schlatt2020 has been inaugurated!" Wilbur shouted with a frown, before stepping off the stage, as a man I recognized all too well climbed up onto the stage and flashed me a wicked smile. That's when I ran.
