28. The Flight of the Prince

Lilly's POV
A big Death Eater made the ceiling explode and I protected myself. Snape and Draco appeared, and those still on their feet launched ourselves at them, but we didn't attack them. After that, the rest of them came down and I was locked into a battle with Alecto, Professor McGonagall then took over my battle after I saw Harry almost get killed by Greyback and I helped Harry pull Greyback off him. Ginny was in combat with Amycus and he was trying to torture her, but the spells seemed to just miss her. Lupin was in battle with a Death Eater and same with Tonks who was battling a blond bloke. The bloke was rather spastic in his approach, sending spells all over the place. Bits of the castle was being blown up at that point.
Harry tripped over Neville and went bounding after Snape and Malfoy. The Death Eaters started to retreat.
I followed, but along the way students were in the corridors. Ernie spotted me and asked, "What's going on!?"
I yelled, "EVERYONE IN THE I DORMS NOW!" The safety of the students come first. I had a copy of myself get everyone to their common room at least, made sure they stayed there.

I went with Harry and battled the Death Eaters trying to set Hagrid's Hut on fire. Harry kept on attacking Snape with different spells, but Snape lazily blocked his spells easily.
Snape revealed he was the Half-Blood Prince and Harry called Snape a coward. Snape hit Harry with a spell that prompted Buckbeak to attack Snape. Snape sprinted past the gates and he and the other Death Eaters Disapparated. I went to my old self trying to repair the castle and move the Death Eater that had died in the battle.
I saw Harry with Hagrid... Harry told Hagrid that Snape killed Dumbledore and he saw Dumbledore lying on the ground. He grabbed the locket and opened it. It had a fragment of parchemnt where a picture should be and it read, "To the Dark Lord, I know I will be dead long before you read this, but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more. R.A.B." Harry felt that all they had done was a waste... his eyes burned with tears as behind him Fang began to howl.
