Before Saiya knew it she had fallen asleep in that position the pendant still in the palm of her hand, tears dried on her face. The first time she had slept in 3 days, 3 days since she had last held Neteyam. Once she awoke his scent immediately travelled to her senses upsetting her once again. The thought of never being able to hold him again crushed her soul, mangling it in the worse way possible. She gently opened her eyes noticing the darkness of the mauri, it was still night out. She sat up from where she sat pulling her scratched up legs close to her chest and wrapping her arms around herself. The sharp contrast between the red cuts on her azure skin represented the unpleasant switch that had just taken over her life, disfiguring her heart.

Her eyes welled with tears as they scanned the dark room, pupils barely dilating to take a look at how Neteyams' presence not only filled the room but made it. His things neatly hung up on the wall, his basket of arrows tipped over and scattered on the ground. She half smiled at the mess as she began to cry realising he would never lie them on the ground again and have her complain about them as she stepped on them, having her yelp at him in annoyance. It would never happen again and she so desperately wished it would.

Her tears rapidly began to fall, another stream pulling a broken sob out of her.

*flashback*

Saiya had come home from her early morning session with Ronal and walked into the mauri. Neteyam had been awake for some time and was sharpening his arrows which he had to use for fish hunting with Tonowari.

His ears perked at the sound of Saiyas footsteps becoming louder and her scent getting stronger as she came closer. He stood quickly pulling the flap open before her hand could reach it. His large smile beaming at her, admiring how much brighter her eyes were than the large yellow sun behind her.

"Neteyam." She smiled leaning herself into his body and wrapping her arms around his shoulders even though she still carried her baskets.

"Hello Sevin." He grinned reciprocating the hug and allowing her to sink into his skin.
"How was your day?" He asked helping her remove the baskets she carried.

"It was extremely easy, oddly. Ronal is usually never this lenient." She explained turning to face him once he had removed the baskets.
"Well you're such a good student she doesn't have to be so tough anymore." He complimented pulling Saiya into him once again.

Her large eyes glistened as they stared back at his, visually mapping out all the freckles that aligned on his face. She smiled completely smitten.

"How was your day tíywan?" (my love) She hummed in a low manner as they were now only inches apart.
"Good, even better now." He whispered as he leaned himself a little further to plant a kiss on her lips which she gladly accepted. Her hands tangled in his hair, fingers tracing his scalp as his hands roamed across her back and ass, his fingers smoothing over the curve and fondling with it. They began to walk backwards to their bed, lips still connected and feverish. As Saiya stepped back a large yell was heard, she disconnected her lips from Neteyams to shout in pain.

The bottom of her foot drew blood as she had stepped on one of the sharpest arrows Neteyam had just sharpened.

Neteyam quickly realised the situation and pulled Saiya away from the arrows helping her walk to the table Tonowari had gifted them. He lifted her to sit on top of the table and knelt down to have a look at the severity of it. "I'm so sorry saiya." He said as he carried her. "You okay?"
