The Sullys made their way home in silence, Lo'ak worried his dad would practically kill him and bring him back to life for what he had done, but instead he was given a hug. Most likely prompted by his mom but he really needed it.

Neteyam however felt rage and disappointment. He couldn't protect Saiya like he was supposed to, and Lo'ak had put her in the danger in the first place, as well as Tuk and Kiri. He thanked Eywa for their safe return but his stomach felt uneasy at the knowledge of how quickly he could lose his future mate.

Once everyone was settled and rested, Jake and Neytiri had entered the family hut and been in there for some time. Kiri and Tuk sat outside organising their grandmothers herbs before they heard raised voices coming from inside the hut. Slowly they called their brothers over to eavesdrop along side them.

They crawled their way over, stealthily being sure to watch out for the parts that creaked.

"He's targeting our family." Jake sighed
"You cannot ask this! The children, everything they've ever known the forest! This is our home!" Neytiri retaliated, ears pinned back in stress and anger, eyes glossed over with tears.

"He had our children, he had them under his knife!" Jake acted out, being reminded of the absolute fear he felt knowing his kids lives were in danger.

"Saiya, someone else's child, Imagine they had lost another." He said understanding the loss Saiyas family had already faced.

Neytiris tail waved behind her before falling flat, her eyes lowering. She took a breath realising her mate was right, However she refused to back down.

Walking over to her bow she picked it up,
"My father gave me this bow as he lay dying and he said protect the people." Her voice cracking.
"You're Toruk Makto!" She reminded, now begging.

"This will protect the people!, Quaritch has spider and that kid knows everything, he knows our whole operation!"

By this point Tuk had already stuck her head through a gap to watch her parents. Her older siblings sitting staring wide eyed at eachother, unsure what their father was implying.

The conversation seemed to die down and the kids quickly resumed what they were doing pretending they hadn't heard as Neytiri came storming out of the hut.

"Mother, can i go visit Saiya?" Neteyam asked, worried about her.

A short "yes" was all he received as his mother continued to walk.

He quickly fixed himself before saying goodbye to his siblings.
"Wait bro why are you going?" Lo'ak asked
"I have to let her know what's going on, i can't leave her in the dark bro." He responded sighing.

As he arrived to their home, it not being too far from his own, he called out her father's name.

He opened the flap, greeting the boy allowing him inside.
"Neteyam?" Saiya smiled with confusion still on her face. "What are you doing here?" She asked greeting him formally.

"Is it okay if i spoke to you outside?" He asked.
"Oh, yes of course." Saiya swallowed her saliva, slightly worried as Neteyam had never been that serious with her.

As they stepped outside his eyes went to her small bandage near the top of her head. "I am sorry." He blurted, "I'm sorry i couldn't protect you, and be there when they hurt you i'm so sorr-"

"Neteyam. It is not your fault." She stopped him, gripping onto his arm smiling warmly at his over sensitivity.

"Still i am sorry." He re-apologised pulling her into a deep hug. His hands slithering around her waist as hers went over his shoulders.  They stayed like that for a while before Neteyam gathered courage to say what he came to say.
