Saiya felt the water trickle into her ears as a large ripple hit a few feet away. Her body tingled as she felt her heart tug to something, she stood up from the water and turned to see her Ikram flapping close to the water before landing in it.
"Lorno!" She sighed gratefully running up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck. She hadn't seen him in what seemed like forever and he came to her when she needed him most. She subtly began to cry, missing the warmth he provided and love that oozed off of him, he always knew where to find her. Immediately Lorno sensed the uneasiness and pain Saiya felt without being connected to her yet. He let out a stifled screech, nudging his beak at her chin to lift her head.
Saiya looked into his eyes rubbing her hand against the roughness of his skin. Another tear rolled perfectly down her check displaying the completely imperfect life that had now become hers. She sniffed her tears wiping her face with her available hand and reached for Lornos Kuru which she connected to hers.
A deep rumble erupted from the Ikran, its pupils dilating with the images of Saiya crying over Neteyams body flashing over. In sympathy he lowered his neck for her to climb, being careful as she mounted.
Once on top she wiped her remaining tears and tried to form coherent thoughts for Lorno to listen to and follow. However all she could think about was him. How they'd race on their Ikrans back in the forest, how he'd 'let her beat him' but they both knew she was just a tad bit faster.*flashback*
"Neteyam!" Saiya yelled over the loud voices of the people in the village. She was now 16 and had gotten even better at riding Lorno. She would sometimes switch between racing Lo'ak and Neteyam or both at the same time.
His ears perked at her voice turning to see her jogging up to him.
"Saiya, are you okay?" He asked, a grin already creeping up onto his face.
"If you are free later i'd like to go for a ride." She suggested her wide eyes peering up at him.A dirty smirk transformed his features before he spoke, "I can give you a ride but we've never done this before Sai-"
"I will retract my offer." She threatened, pretending to be annoyed at his dirty comment."I'm only joking Sevin (pretty). Of course i'd like to go with you." He smiled before looking around to make sure no one was looking and pulling her in for a hug and planting a small kiss on her forehead.
They were both still slightly embarrassed to be affectionate in the eyes of people in the clan.
Saiya smiled and told him where to meet her later on.Darkness had fallen over Pandora and most of the young ones in the village had fallen asleep but the adults remained awake. Neteyam walked out into the darkening forest, seeing Saiya leaning against a tree with her arms crossed. His eyes focused on her soft face which held the emotions to either make or break his day. The tiny freckles on her face glowed, trailing down her perfect body illuminating her all over. Her tail swung low gently swiping across the mossy ground every so often. Her white fangs peeking out as she struggled to wide her massive smile once she had seen him.
His messy hair and toned muscles that shifted with every step he took towards her. He began to jog up to her grabbing her face once he was close enough and kissing her deeply. They both pulled back looking behind him before returning to their previous act. Saiya planted small kisses against the light blue patterns of his skin. His freckles almost glowing even brighter as her lips went across them, his soft voice hummed in satisfaction as she kissed him lower beneath his jaw.
"I missed you." She smiled against his skin before pulling back to look into his eyes. He could feel the warmth of her breath protecting him from the cool air around them. "I know you did." He smiled back rubbing her nose slowly with his.
