The morning came and went and soon after the group had met up again and hung out. Tuk had asked to come which they happily accepted.
"Saiya we are so happy for you." Kiri smiled as they walked in a 4 in front of the boys who treaded behind them.
"I can't imagine how it felt, that bond, oh wow!" Tsireya chimed, her eyes filled with warmth and curiosity."Words cannot describe the feeling, I just honestly hope you all get to experience it one day." Saiya sighed, remembering the warm feeling in her tummy.
"I'm proud of you bro." Lo'ak smiled placing a hand on his brother's shoulder.
Neteyam laughed his braids falling in front of his face slightly. "Thank you.""How did you know you were ready?" Rotxo asked, his questions were always genuine.
"I realised how she makes me feel, i'm always happy to see her, to be around her, to hear her name.""Alright love bug we get it." Aounung joked placing a soft hand ontop of Neteyams head. "Babies born with Omaticayan blood but Metkayinan roots, fascinating." He chucked mockingly tapping his fingers onto Neteyams temples.
"That's so sick!" Lo'ak chimed with Rotxo agreeing next to him.
"You guys are such skxawngs." Neteyam chuckled pushing Aounung off of him.As the group arrived at their hang out spot in the vicinity of the village, they sat in a large circle. Lo'ak had told the group about his meeting with Payakan but he hadn't mentioned him again. The group still however knew he was going out to see him.
"It's dangerous Lo'ak, you know that." Tsireya complained cocking her head to the side."Like i've said, you guys don't know him like I do, he's my friend!" He tried to explain looking at everyone for even an ounce of understanding.
Neteyam noticed his little brother's tense attitude and tried to calm the conversation.
"It's just the stories that have been told. You're right we don't know him like you do." He looked towards Saiya for her to agree."Yeah Lo' you have that connection, it's something very special and you are lucky to have so." She hummed placing a warm hand on his back.
"Where are the other Tulkun?" Tuk asked playing with the sand in front of her.
"Well it is actually the season of the Tulkun, they should be returning any day now." Aounung replied,
turning his head to look at the vast area of water behind him.As if Eywa had heard their voices a large displacement of water was thrown into the air as a Tulkun flipped up and landed back in.
"It's them! It's the Tulkun!" Rotxo shouted in excitement as he quickly stood. He looked down at Kiri and extended his hand to help her up, "Look Kiri!" He smiled as she took his hand and also viewed the beautiful creatures. Many soon began to rise and get closer, Tsireya had already called her Ilu and was in the water with many other villagers who were greeting or looking for their Tulkun. Rotxo and Aounung had run to call the other villagers and let them know the Tulkun had arrived.
Saiya picked up Tuk and placed her on her own Ilu as Neteyam and Lo'ak rode their own.
"Wow Saiya look!" Tuk pointed as they looked at a mother Tulkun with her baby calf by her side. Saiya noticed Ronal next to the creature, caressing its smooth skin. It was her Tulkun.
The smile on her face and the bond they must've shared crossed Saiyas mind, it was truly something beautiful to see.
The continued riding the small waves watching everyone communicate with their Tulkun using sign language. The Sully's had picked up quite a lot and understood some of the conversations they saw.
