Lightbulb's POV:
I still can't believe I was hugging Paintbrush and laying on top of it. In my sleep. WHILE IT WAS STILL AWAKE. I felt so embarrassed, oh my current I can't get over it! It's been 4 hours of walking and parachuting and I haven't stopped thinking of it! Any ways, we continued walking, when Paintbrush asked, "Hey, Lightbulb! I don't think you've ate anything this entire time! Have a granola bar and a water or something!" I can't believe me of all people forgot to EAT! I was probably so caught up in the crazy chain of events that were happening yesterday, that I totally forgot that I was STARVING to no end! "I can't believe I forgot! Thanks for reminding me not to starve!"I reached into my bag and took out 3 granola bars and a water. That's right, 3. Deal with it! We were only 2 right turns away from Newt Inn now! I'm so excited to not have my back feel like it's getting a splinter every 10 minutes! We continued, and I gobbled down 2 of the bars and half the water, when a car passed by us.
Paintbrush suddenly froze at the sight, and the car started to slow down. I had no idea what was going on, and Paintbrush kept repeating the letters M and D for some reason. "Um, Painty, what's up?" It put it's hand over my mouth, and the car was parked next to us. The window started to roll down, and I realized what the letters M and D stood for.
"So, look who it is! Our..*hiccup*.. disappointment! She's even walking *hiccup* on the streets! Hello there. How's it been?" Paintbrush's face started to look down, and it said, "Fine. Now go. I don't wanna speak to you, you drunk. It's sad that it's only been one day and you're already drinking and driving. I can't even believe you people, and I'm glad you kicked me out." It's dad smirked with a drunken expression. "Hey, calm it, Paintbrush. We both only have had 9 in the past 2 hours. We're *hiccup* fine. Plus, we're glad you left too. We can have more fun now. We're headed over to Grandpa's now and telling him about how *hiccup* great life is without a failure in the house."
Paintbrush sighed and groaned. "Dad, Grandpa died last year. I also even made a friend without you people after 5 minutes of being gone." It's dad took a look at me and said, "Both you and your friend look like hill billies. Also, that's no girl. That's a hippo. I mean, look at her." I was quite offended by that statement, but then remembered he was drunk. No one cares what you say when you're drunk. "Haha, good one, Spray Paint, hon." It's mom giggled.
Paintbrush stormed up to the car and yelled, "Get OUT of here, and shut up! That's really rude, and it's not true you low life crackhead!" It's dad lazily lifted a finger. "I don't do crack, only coc. Your head looks *hiccup* funny." Paintbrush slammed her hand on the side of the car and screamed, "Get the FRICK out of here. I don't wanna talk to you." It started to walk away and yelled to it, "Fine! Have fun looking like garbage!" Paintbrush didn't turn back, and just kept stomping it's feet along the sidewalk.
As the car started to go away, I ran after it. I caught up to Painty, and it sighed, "I gotta calm down for a bit, Lightbulb. So leave me alone a bit, if that's alright." I understood completely, and just walked behind it the rest of the way. "Hey, we're here!" I exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Oh yeah! Sorry about what happened out there..." I sighed. "That's alright. I get it." "Yeah, well they can barely freaking keep themselves TOGETHER without my guidance! Geez, I hope they learn sometime or another."
I patted her back in a comforting way. "Thanks. Let's just not talk about it anymore, okay?" "Ok, Painty! Remember, 15 years old!" Painty nodded. "Got it!"
We walked into the hotel, and ran up to the front desk. "Hello! Welcome to Newts Inn! How may I help you?" I did it how my parents would. "We'd like a room for 2 please." She nodded. "Ok. How old are you two?" Paintbrush lied, "Both of us are 15." She clapped her hands. "Perfect! Do you by any chance have a reservation?" We shook our heads. I totally forgot about reservations! "Well, lucky for you, we have a room left on our 3rd floor! Let me go get you two some keys."
She left for them, then almost immediately came back. "Here are your keys to get in, you are room 353. How long are you staying with us?" I thought a second, then answered, "Two weeks!" She gasped. "Two weeks? That's quite a while for two girls at your age! I'll put that in the system." She started to put our info in her computer, and said, "Please enjoy your stay at Newts Inn!" We thanked her, then scurried to the elevator. We clicked the up button, and we were luckily the only ones who got in. We pressed 3, and when it closed, we started to dance all around.
It shrieked, "I can't believe it! Our plan actually WORKED!" I shrieked back, "I know! I'm SO EXCITED!" When it got to the third floor, we acted calm and collected when the door opened. We looked around, and saw everyone was in their rooms. We raced over to room 353 and Painty quickly slid it's key into the door handles scanner. It turned green, and it whispered excitedly, "You ready?" I nodded, ready to see the awesome room we'd be staying in. It opened the door, and what was inside blew my mind.
(A/N: CLIFFHANGER! What do you think they saw in their room? Was it good? Or bad? Maybe BOTH? Who knows! Find out next chapter! Remember to rate and comment what you thought!)
