(Tristy)

I fell asleep in my room and of course dreamed of my mom. I always do when I get in those depressed moods and miss her. I woke when a strange odor hit my nose. I looked up and my door was open. It was 10:00 at night. I scrunched my nose and got up. The strange stench made my nose tingle to the point I started sneezing a bit. I quickly closed the door. I wasn’t that curious to find out what Billie and Tre were up to. I laid back in bed and covered my head up. I was mentally and physically drained so it was easy to fall back to sleep, although staying asleep was a problem. I woke again at about three. I heard some clanging noises. I sat up and rubbed my eyes then sluggishly got to the door. I brushed my hair back and stepped out. I left my door cracked and headed for the kitchen to find the sorce of the noise. I heard some tinging noises when I caught the sight of Billie following his same routine.

(Billie POV)

I was pouring me a bowl of cereal when I heard someone lightly clearing their throat behind me. I turned and saw Tristy in the clothes she was wearing earlier. Her hair was a bit messy but the good messy. Whatever that is. “Oh shit! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to wake you.” I whispered. I turned and poured my milk.

“It’s ok.” She said lightly. I turned and gestured my bowl to her.

“Want some?”

“Um… sure why not.” She shrugged. She twisted the tip of a candle on the center piece giving us a little light. I smiled, I could tell her eyes were puffy from crying. I quickly fixed another bowl and placed it in front of her. I put the milk away and sat  next to her with my bowl.

“black huh?” I looked to her as she put a spoonful in her mouth.

“Oh my hair, yeah. The blonde takes more maintenance.” I crunched on my cereal.

“Hmm.. I kinda liked the blonde. It looked hot.” She raised an eyebrow then got more cereal. I quickly raised from my bowl.

“Really?” I said mouth full of cereal. “Cause y’know I can always dye it back.” she smiled and started giggling a bit. I realized she was messing with me. I blushed a bit and swallowed my food smiling. “You really had me going for a sec.”

“I’m sorry, I just had to jump at the opportunity.” She giggled some more. I smiled.

“Well I’m glad it made you smile.”

“Thanks. I guess that’s what that horrible smell was earlier.”

“Yeah sorry about that.”

“It’s ok. It just had me in a sneezing fit.” She continued eating. I just smiled and stared. “What?”

“Nothing, it’s just. The smell messes with Tre too. He had to step outside.” She nodded. “I guess you have your dads sinus system or something.”

“I guess so.” She said. “so what’s on the agenda for tomorrow?” I ate some more before answering.

“Well breakfast, and prepare yourself, Sexy Sam is coming over. I think she might stay this time.” I chuckled. She rolled her eyes.

“Oh gah.”

“Yeah.” She let out a sigh and we continued eating. We talked a bit about a few things, mostly music.

“I do play violin.” She said.

“That’s awesome. You do your own music?”

“Yeah, but there was this one song in middle school that I did a cover of.”

“Oh cool. Which one?”

“That’s the thing. I don’t really know. It was a song my mom had sung to me. I did hear it once in a store. His voice was beautiful, and peaceful. I played it from memory.”
