Auditions came and went, and it was now Wednesday.
Today was the day that the girls who were being selected for the team would be announced.
The past week with Andrei has been amazing. We were making time for each other and making time for our friends. I was dying to introduce him to everyone I knew.
We still hadn't slept together, and it was becoming an itch I was dying to scratch
He's been waiting to hear from his parents before saying yes to coming to LA with me. They had called him Saturday and informed him they wanted to try to visit this coming weekend.
A part of me was selfish and hoped that they didn't so that he could come with me, but the biggest part of me knew how important family was to the both of us, so I wanted him to be able to see them.
If he comes with me, I wanted to take our relationship to the next level.
Saturday morning I made the time to have the conversation with Joey that I'd had with my parents. He was even more understanding than they were, if that were possible.
I felt bad for any girl who didn't have the relationship with her brother that I had with mine. No matter what, he still viewed me as his baby sister. The little girl who followed him around from the time she could walk.
So when the topic of Andrei came up, he was reserved on his approval of us seeing each other in any serious capacity.
He was worried we're getting too real too quickly, after I explained to him where our heads were at. He was concerned that I was going to get my heart broken, and then it would affect his team because he wouldn't be able to get along with Andrei.
I understood his hesitation to accept it, but as I explained to him, I am a grown woman and I had to do what I felt was right. And what I felt in my heart was the right thing, was seeing where things go.
Joey didn't argue it or complain, and wasn't going to stand it in my way. He said he just needed to make sure I understood why he may be a little nervous to acknowledge the connection.
I was in my office entering the information of the chosen girls into the computer so that I could post them online before I leave.
I had just a few more to go when Andrei showed up at the door.
"Hey." I greeted him with a smile.
"Hey, you gonna be out of here soon?" He questioned, sitting down in the chair across from me.
"Should be. I just have a few more girls I need to enter and then I'll be done." I told him.
He nodded. "How long do you think that'll be?"
"Mmm... Twenty minutes or less, I'd say."
"Alright, cool. I'm gonna head out but I'll see you in a bit?"
"Of course. I'll text you as soon as I'm finished."
He leaned over the desk to give me a small peck before heading out.
We've been alternating whose house we hangout out at on the nights we get together, and tonight it was my place.
Going more than a day without seeing each other didn't feel like an option to us. We were determined to spend as much time with each other as we could.
I had given Andrei the extra key to my hotel room this morning when we got to the stadium. I figured at this point there's no reason for him to have to wait for me to get there before heading over, or waiting in his car until I get there.
