*The moment we've all been waiting for. Or maybe just me. Maybe I've just been waiting for it.
Anyway, Spicy content incomingggg*
When my flight landed in LA, I couldn't help but feel guilty for the way Andrei and I left things.
I didn't like feeling like him and I were in a bad place. We barely saw each other after he left Wednesday night. We went to dinner with Dustin on Thursday as planned, but other than that it was like he was avoiding me.
It was a terrible feeling.
But I was determined to enjoy this trip. I just absolutely could not wait to see everyone tomorrow.
Dustin and I went to his place, and we just made tik toks together and hung out. We didn't post any of them of course, not till after class.
We practiced routines, and tried creating new ones while we had the time together.
It was so much fun.
I almost forgot what it was like to create like this. Yeah, I've worked on some new choreos in Cincinnati, but it wasn't the same as this.
I could feel the therapy aspect of dance kicking in for me as we rehearsed our old routine to Taki Taki. The way I was panting after we decided to call it a night was so refreshing for me.
I hadn't worked this hard since I left.
I really missed this.
It was hard knowing that your heart was split into to different places. A part of me will always long to be here in LA, but I also knew that ever since meeting Andrei, a part of me will always be with him, no matter where he is.
When Dustin drove me back to my house, I decided to take a minute to call Andrei. It was late, so I wasn't sure if he'd still be with his parents or if they'd be in bed.
"Hey Mickey." He greeted as he picked up the phone.
"Hey. I uh- I wasn't sure if your parents would still be up or not but I just wanted to hear your voice." I told him.
I wasn't sure if I should be so vulnerable, but with him I couldn't help it.
"It's good to hear yours too. But no, they're not in bed. They're sitting here with me."
Shit, should I let him go? "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt."
"It's okay, they don't mind. How're things going? How's LA?"
"It's great so far. Dustin and I have just been refreshing ourselves on our routine so that we're ready to teach it tomorrow."
"Are you still working on it right now?" He asked.
"No. No, I'm back at my house now. I haven't practiced like this since I left, so I'm exhausted." I laughed slightly. "How's your visit with your parents?"
"It's great, I really missed them. I've told them all about you, they're excited to meet you."
"I can't wait to meet them either." I said, smiling about the fact that even through whatever it is that's been bother him, he still sees enough of a future with me to tell his parents about me. "Well, I'll let you spend time with them while you have them there. I just miss you."
Should I have said that? Is that too much?
"I miss you too. I can't wait to see you when you get back."
"Me either."
"If you're still up when they go to bed I'll call you back, okay?"
"Okay." I smiled with a nod, even though he couldn't see it. "Good night Andrei. Just in case."
