Vaera was the light of Tywin's life. His baby girl, his precious little bastard. After Joanna died he had an affair with the queen. She propositioned him. Said Aerys was always chasing after Joanna and it only seemed right. It was only the once but it was enough. Rhaella felt shameful, she just wanted a bit of fun, not this. So she left to dragonstone and claimed she lost the baby. Instead she brought the little girl to Casterly Rock and presented her to Tywin.
"Love her." Rhaella instructed. Tywin stared down at her light blonde hair and deep green eyes and he knew, Vaera was his. She yawned out as she curled into Tywin's chest.
Vaera was Tywin's littlest love and he was going to protect her from everything.

Vaera didnt know what being a bastard was. She was four years old and gnawing on a cookie when the king legitimized Vaera.
Robert Baratheon didnt want to marry Cersei, he hoped the legitimization of the little Lannister would be enough but no. It wasnt. Of course not.
"Vaera Lannister." Tywin whispered kissing her cheek. "Forever more."
"More cookies?" Vaera whispered.
"Little cookie monster." Tywin answered. She giggled taking it from his hand. "What do you say love?"
"Thank you." Vaera answered tipping her head into Tywin.
"You are so welcome my love." Tywin felt bad that Vaera would never get to know her mother but it seemed to be a trait his children shared, losing out on knowing their mothers.
Tywin never told a soul who Vaera's mother was, Vaera will and always would be Vaera Lannister. His littlest lion and most precious love.
Tyrion liked Vaera, she was littler than him now and loved chasing after Tyrion. She had little legs but she was a fast one.
Vaera was always the light of everyones day. She had a smile that was contagious and had the most beautiful green eyes that begged for attention and she usually got whatever she wanted when she looked her fathers way. He could never say no to Vaera, no one could.
"I'm tired." Vaera yawned out leaning into Tyrion. He scooped her little self up and she snuggled into him. "One more cookie?" She said through another big yawn.
"I think you are all cookied, out." Tyrion countered.
"I dont think so." Vaera corrected.
"Come on, I have a present for you waiting in your chambers."
"We are not home." Vaera countered. "We are at the castle," She added dreamily.
"I have a present for you, little lion." Tyrion assured. "Come on, trust me."
"I do." Vaera agreed kissing his cheek, Tyrion ran a hand over her back as she drifted in and out of sleep in his arms.
"Here we are." Tyrion put her down, good thing too, his arms were getting tired.
"Where is it? A cookie? Hiding?" Vaera questioned rubbing at her tired eyes.
"Look at the bed." Tyrion corrected and vaera moved to it curiously. "Hop on in."
"I dont see-"
"Hop on in." Tyrion repeated. Vaera pulled back the covers and saw a lion toy. She gasped slamming it to her chest.
"Oh he's perfect!" Vaera declared. "I love him! I love him!" Vaera exclaimed.
"I hoped you would." Tyrion agreed.
