Waves/ Corlys Velaryon / Alyn of hull out now!

"Vaera?" Sandor whispered peering in. "Vaera?"

He saw her on the bed still fast asleep he hated to disturb her. She looked so peaceful. He turned to leave, but he ran into her pile of blankets tumbled towards the desk, hitting the knitting needles, and they tumbled off the desk, clattering to the ground. Vaera jumped up panting for breath as her head whipped around to the noise.

" it's just me!" Sandor declared quickly.

" what are you doing rearranging my furniture?" Vaera questioned her heart settling.

"Sorry. I did knock. And then I knocked everything over..." he admitted awkwardly "i will clean it all up put it right back where it was." He assured. Putting down the tray of tea he scooping up the blankets and then needles and the books and apparently he knocked over everything that was on the desk because the floor was covered now.

" why do you have books??" he felt stupid and ridiculous, and completely rude for asking, but it just slipped out as he picked up the final book putting it back on the desk.

" I'd like books. My father will read to me. Greor too ."

" my brother can't read." Sandor corrected.

" I have been teaching him."

" and he listens to you?"

" i've told you before we're friends."

" and I've told you before that my brother having friends is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." Sandor reminded her.

" you're so silly." Vaera giggled back. " did you bring me tea?"

" how can you tell?"

" it smells like tea. I take mine with a bit of cream and two sugars, please." she added.

" you are so adorable." Sandor whispered as he prepared her tea.

" what's that?"

" nothing," sandor assured. " I also have no idea where anything went so... he looked at the desk, and all the things he had put on it. " I'm really sorry about that."

" I'll figure it out don't worry." She was always so agreeable. She was absolutely nothing like her -he would say nephew but really she wasn't like any of her family.

" do you have to tend to joffrey?"

"no, he's with his father."

" Robert is back from his hunting trip already?"

" I thought your sister would tell you." he admitted, feeling awkward, having to be the one to tell her this. " the king was injured very badly... I don't think he's going to make it."

" heavens!" she declared as he handed off the little teacup " but that would mean that Joffrey would be King... I always felt like that would be something that would happen in the very distant future... oh my heavens."

" you're thinking the realms are screwed too?" Sandor Realized.

" are you all right?"

" I'm perfectly fine I can't wait for him to die." Cersei assured

" oh... that wasn't exactly what I was expecting." she admitted. " but I suppose I was expecting something similar..."

"don't worry everything is under control." Cersei assured. " but ahh when he does pass, I will need Sandor."

" are you sure I've been enjoying my time with him very much. He's so sweet. And he makes a good cup of tea too."

" stop falling for cleganes." Cersei countered.

" why do you need him?"

" because I have a feeling Ned stark is going to make everything a bit more difficult."

Sandor checked on vaera after neds arrest. She was confused and frustrated but she thought she understood

A heavy sigh filled her as her eyes opened. Sandor have not realized that he reached out grabbing her hand.

" I think it's for the best if you stay away from Joffrey. The power has gone straight to his head." Sandor remarked.

"Okay..." she agreed, knowing her nephews temper. " so is he king?"

" he will have an official coronation soon enough."

" an upgrade for you." Vaera remarked. Sandor shrugged. Vaera stared back at him.

" you know I've never talked this much in my life." Sandor informed her.  Vaera giggled leaning back in bed.

Everything seemed to happen in fast forward while Gregor was gone. Ned was in chains and then he was on trial. Vaera heard his chains clinking as he walked onto the stage.

"Is Gregor back?"  vaera questioned Sandor.

"No."

"When is coming back?"

"You are the only person in the history of westeros that has ever wanted him in your vicinity." Sandor informed her honestly.

"He's my friend." Vaera agreed. "I... I miss him." Sandor laughed out.

"Friend. Gregor isnt capable of having friends." Sandor corrected.

"Well he is mine. Same as you." Vaera countered. She didnt listen to what ned had to say or what Joffrey spewed, she stared up at Sandor, he spun her around.

"Whats the point? I can't see it, I might as well stare you and make you uncomfortable." Vaera mused. Sandor spun her around again, but she turned back to face him.

"I see why Gregor likes you." Sandor grumbled. "Annoying little..."

"He does like me." Vaera agreed. "I knew it!"

"Shut up, girl." Sandor begged. "TUrn around." He spun her around again.

"Bring me his head."

That caught Vaera's attention.

"What?" Vaera countered. She heard Sansa's cries and the crowd was a mix of 'kill him' and 'bastard' shouted up at the stage.

"He... whats joffrey doing?" vaera demanded her eyes moving rapidly to no use. She heard the blade swish through the air and the thud of Neds head landing before them. She heard the drip, drip, drip of his blood before his body fell too.

"Do me the honors hound." Joffrey demanded.

"Dont move, Vaera." Sandor instructed moving past her. She stood frozen as Ned lifted Ned Starks head for all to see but all Vaera heard was the drip, drip, drip of blood seeping from his severed head.

Vaera felt herself go pale, she wanted justice for Tyrion but she didnt want Ned dead. She wanted Catelyn punished, Ned was just foolish enough to think that what he was doing was right.

"It's for the best..." Cersei convinced herself even though she knew a dead wolf was no good to them. "He knew too much about things he shouldnt have."

"I miss Gregor." Vaera whined. "When is coming back? I dont like the capital with Joffrey in charge." She admitted.

"Of course not, Joffrey is a mean little boy." Cersei agreed finishing her glass. "But you my darling little sister need to hold your head up. Dont let the capital get you down. I fear we have only just begun our depths into darkness."

"I will show you way, I'm good at walking in darkness."
