"My father was at the capital. He saved the day". Vaera grumbled.

"Sue me". Sandor murmured back.

"We must turn around. "

''No can do. "

"Sandor!"

"You are my prisoner, Vaera." she giggled. "My prisoner is giggling."

"I am not."

"You are giggling."

"Your prisoner." She corrected. He sighed.

"We are not turning around."

"You said-"

"I can't go back to the capital. They will hang me as a deserter."

"My daddy won't. I will tell him not to."

" pick another place to go."

"Sandor!" Vaera demanded.

" I'm sorry I was going to bring you to your father, but I can't go back there. It would've been different if he was-"

" I understand, but he won't hurt you. You were just trying to protect me."

" I can't go back." Sandor corrected " I'm sorry...."

"Where is my Vaera?" Tywin demanded, the castle was searched. "Where is she?" he shouted. She wasnt in any of her usual haunts, Gregor set out to find her as well, he stomped the halls furiously.

"She must have gotten lost and confused once i left-"

"WHy did you leave your sister?" Tywin demanded.

"I was worried about my son-"

"And I trusted My vaera with you." Tywin warned. "And now she is gone."

"She's not gone, we just misplaced her." Cersei countered. "We will find her." she assured.

"WHen? WHere is my Vaera?"

"Sandor you should slow down." Vaera told him.

"These people are giving me ale, free of charge. I'm getting their compassions worth." he countered. She scooted closer to him grabbing his hand. He downed the glass before pulling Vaera into his lap.

"I got you." He whispered rough against her ear, sending a flutter going through her core. She wished she could see these people. She glanced around uselessly, she listened for sounds of familiarity, they had been traveling for less than a week when the news of Tywin's conquest of the castle met their ears, it was two days more after that vaera assumed but she was tried a lot recently and slept on sandor as they rode.

"Now that is an uncommonly large person. How does one manage to subdue such an uncommonly large person?"

" One waits for him to drink until he passes out." Anguy answered. "The little thing," he chuckled. "Well she was willing to come without hesitation once he took her man."

"Please let us go." vaera whispered. "I dont personally have money but my father does..."

"Poor man. You have my sympathy." Thoros moved to pull the hood free. "Aha, not a man at all. A Hound!"

"So good to see you again, Clegane."

"Thoros? The fuck you doing here?" Sandor demanded his eyes adjusting to the light, however dim it was, he looked for Vaera, she was stood beside him reaching for him. her hands were not bound, her eyes flickered around but he knew it was her ears that was listening as she turned her pretty head back and forth.

" Drinking and talking too much. Same as ever." Thoros answered. "A pretty prize, lads." Thoros eyed Vaera. "Pretty prize indeed. "

"He's looking at me. I feel like he's looking at me." Vaera whispered into Sandor.

"What does she mean feels like?" Thoros countered. "I got my eyes on-"

"I can't see." Vaera answered and sandor tried to hush her.

"You... you are blind." Anguy realized. "Wondered why she kept stumbling once we took the hound from her, she didnt have a drop to drink yet she was walking well blind."

"Idiot you took her seeing eye dog!" Thoros laughed out. Arya and her friends tried to sneak past but Sandor looked at arya, eyes narrowing.

" Girl." Sandor barked. Arya froze before turning slowly to face him. " What in seven hells are you doing with the Stark bitch?"

"Sansa?"

"arya." Sandor corrected.

"I wondered what happened to her." Vaera admitted. She gave a little wave in the wrong direction.

"What do you want to do with the girl?" Anguy questioned.

"Which one?" Thoros countered looking between vaera and Arya.

"Um... I would like to stay with sandor and go home..." Vaera admitted.

"Why are you helping him? He takes us prisoner and now he's our friend?" Arya demanded.

" You're not our prisoner, little lady." Thoros Cut in.

" What am I?" Arya demanded.

" Our guest. No one's put any chains on you."

" So I can walk away, then?" Arya demanded.

"You are Vaera. No last name." Sandor whispered bringing his face close to Vaera.

"Okay." She whispered reaching for him but his hands were still bound. "Sandor I'm scared." She admitted. "I want my daddy."

"After this we go back." He agreed.

"Promise?" She whimpered. He nodded. She waited for his answer.

"I promise."  he agreed.

" These woods aren't safe for Ned Stark's daughter. You're lucky we found you." Thoros countered. Sandor was bound and dragged through the camp vaera stumbled along chasing after his footsteps.

"You think you're good with that bow, you little twat?" Sandor hissed pulling back to let vaera catch up.

" Better than anyone you've ever met." Anguy answered

"A coward's weapon. I like to fight up close. I like to see a man's face when I put the steel in him." Sandor answered snarling back at him.

" Why? So you can kiss him?"

" You remember the last time you were here?" Arya questioned

"Looks like every other shit inn on the road." Sandor countered as anguy put a hood over his head again. This is what it felt like to be blind. Sandor turned his head calling out for Vaera.

"San?" She reached out but it wasnt sandor that grabbed her. "I want sandor." She begged.

"Dont touch her!" Sandor barked.

"Now, apologies, but you're one ugly fucker and I'd rather not see you no more." Anguy added guiding him to the wagon and hitting his head on the top of the door. "Watch your head. Off we go." he mused. Thoros helped Vaera into the wagon, she reached out finding a seat before she felt sandors leg and moved as close to him as she could.

"San?"

"This is me." He agreed. "Sorry Vaera. We should have turned back, You were right."

"Remember that for next time you want to do your own thing." Vaera agreed snuggling into him as she took what felt like her first deep breath all day.
