Chapter 2

Umeko's POV

Nine months have passed and I already looked like a huge watermelon, though I ain't complaining as I get to finally meet my twins. I was currently laying down on my bed while rubbing my stomach.

I soon heard a tinkle sound, I looked down and saw that my water broke, immediately the contraction began and I moaned in pain. "Lily! Rin and Ren! The twins want to get out!" I yelled out as they ran inside to my chambers and Rin walked away to get the doctor.

"Here my lady, let's get you to the birthing room, Ren you go get the midwives and tell them that Lady Umeko is giving birth!" Lily said as she laid me down gently, spread my legs and lifted my dress up and removed my underwear and placed a blanket.

"Someone go get a warm bowl of water! A towel and scissors!' The apothecary said as she came inside with the doctor. I grabbed onto the cloth for strength and saw the midwives came and and the apothecary came and held my head gently.

"Push my lady!" Said the midwife. "Ahh! Ughhh! "I see the head! Just a few more and you'll have your baby!" "Ahhh!!" 'Waah~! Ahh!~* congratulations! It's a healthy boy, now just need one more. Push!" AHHH! 'WAAH-AHHHH" I breathed heavily and tears streaming down my face as I heard my babies cries. I smiled but then I yelled out in pain!

"It hurts! There's another one coming! Push my lady! "AHHH!" *Waaa! Ahhhh!" It's a healthy boy! Yelled out the doctor as I let go of the cloth and breathed heavily. "You did a wonderful job, my lady." The apothecary said as she rested my head on the pillow and I looked to my right and saw my triplets sleeping soundly.

I cried in joy and held my first born fingers. *Brother, meet your nephews and niece*. I thought as I told them the names for my babies, for my firstborn, Xiao. For my daughter, Chenguang and for my son, Cheung.

I successfully gave birth to my triplets and I couldn't wait to be able to protect and love them. I was cleaned up, carried to my bed and laid me down on my bed and Rin, Ren and Lily carried my triplets.

"They're so beautiful, Ume, they look just like you." Ren says as she sat down Xiao along with Rin and Lily to sat down Chengunag and Cheung next to Xiao and covered us with the soft and warm blankets. *Seems like the bastard's not here, I wonder if Jia Li would let me live in her palace*. I thought as the doors opened and behold the bastard emperor, great.

'I heard you gave birth to triplets, finally." He said as he walked up to them, I sat up and blocked him. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at your banquet." I told with a snarky voice as Xiao grasped my fingers. 'I just came here to look at my children, never thought that you would have triplets." He said with a cocky and arrogant attitude.

"Just so you know, I'll stay inside my estate with MY children, and you are forbidden to come in here, I never wanted you in my life! Just go with your favorite precious consort and feel free to abandon me, now go!" I yelled at him, turned my body to face the wall and cuddled my children.

"..alright, but  remember your place." I heard him say and slammed the door shut. "Ren, could you please set down my children in their cribs please?" I asked Ren as she nodded and placed my children inside their cribs.

"Here my mistress, drink some chamomile tea and mooncakes." Ayame said as she and Lily helped me sat up with my back hitting against the bed frame.

"Don't listen to him, Ume. You have us and Jia Li, we'll always be here to protect you and your children's." Ren told me as she hugged me with Rin, Lily, Ayame and Rosemary.

"Thank you guys.." I told them and ate my snack, I finished and rinsed my mouth with water and spat out.

Lily helped me lay down and covered me with the blankets and fell asleep.

Lily's POV

As our mistress fell asleep, me and the others nodded each other and headed to our chambers to grab our swords. Why you may ask? Well, our mistress's brother was the one who helped us from our previous abusive relationships and he told us that if anything happened to him, to protect Umeko.

We all vowed to protect our mistress and her children's. We'll always protect them..even it means killing.
