• NARRATOR POV •
Scattered around Y/N were books upon books upon books. Scrolls were pinned to the wall and ink was every where. He hadn't left his room in a week, his friends and family growing worried.
"Who's going to try and get him out this time?" Kai asked, arms crossed as he stood in front of Y/Ns closed door.
"Jays his brother, surely he should come out for him.." Zane suggested.
"Nope. Went in yesterday, got the same as always!" Jay complained, kicking the wall and hurting his foot.
"Cole?" Kai looked at Cole.
Cole glared at Kai, holding an ice pack on his eye, "Hah! No, last time I got a black eye."
"Too be fair, you did try and pry the book from Y/Ns hand." Zane reasoned.
"He was ignoring me!" Cole argued.
"Okay, okay. Calm down.." Kai said, sighing as he looked through the crack in the door at the mess of books, "If only Sensei was here. He'd have no choice but to listen to him."
"We can do this without Sensei, come on we've all..." Cole chuckled nervously at the glare Kai gave him, "Almost all of us have unlocked our true potential without him! We can get Y/N out of his room easy peasy.."
"Psh, says the one with a black eye." Jay muttered, "He's my brother, I know him more than anyone here. I say we just wait it ou-"
"What are you four all doing outside of Y/Ns room?" Nya walked up to the group, tilting her head.
"O-oh Nya! Hey..." Jay laughed nervously, "We were just uh, well Y/N won't come out of his room.. None of us can get him out."
"Oh.. What's he doing in there?" Nya asked, pushing the door open slightly and closing it in an instant, "How many books!?"
"Forty seven." Zane answered, "I haven't been able to see what they're about."
"They're probably about rings or something.. Haven't you noticed? He's been transfixed on those things." Nya said, arms crossed, "Sensei kept telling him to be patient and that he'll figure it out eventually.. But the boy has zero patience."
"He's always been like that." Jay scoffed.
"Does any-" Kai was interrupted by the sound of an alarm coming from the bridge.
"That must be serpentine! Quick!" Jay exclaimed.
"What about Y/N?!" Kai asked, running towards the bridge with the other Ninja.
"They're just Snakes, we can deal with them without Y/Ns help."
• MEANWHILE •
"What aren't you telling me.." Y/N muttered, throwing a book against the wall in anger before leaning back into a pot of ink, "Eugh.."
The boy sighed, standing up and changing his shirt. He opened the door to his room, walking towards the washing machine room thing so he could throw his shirt in the wash. He paused.
"Where are they?" He thought to himself, putting his shirt into the washing machine, before wandering around the Destiny's Bounty.
Kitchen? Nope.
Bedrooms? Nope.
Bridge? Nope.
The Ninja were no where to be seen.
"Did I really miss a mission... Damn.." Y/N muttered, wiping his eyes as he began walking back to his room. He paused, catching his reflection in the mirror.
