six.

"What kind of dinosaur is that?" I asked, my voice breaking. We were all turned around and staring at it while it stared straight back. It was surely bigger than the T-Rex that I saw earlier today, and it was way scarier than the Mosasaurus. I felt like I was holding my breath.

"I've never seen it before," Gray mumbled.

"It's looking straight at me," I whispered. The thing before us blinked, shifting it's focus between all three of us before stopping on me again. "I'm scared."

"Stay calm," Gray whispered back.

I gripped onto the seat cushion as tight as I could, my knuckles turning white. Why was it only choosing me to look at? My heart pounded against my chest like it wanted to come out and I felt my eyes watering. I couldn't stay calm.

"Fuck this," Zach said suddenly. He sat down in his seat and grabbed the control, instantly moving it forward. The gyrosphere barely moved a mile per hour and the monster eyed us suspiciously before letting out the most blood curdling, ear splitting roar I've ever heard. It was loud enough to make the glass around us shake and even surged us ahead.

I yelped in surprise and sat back down in my seat. The stegosauruses from before watched as we were being stalked by the monster. They came to our aid and tried to swing their tails at it, but the thing just bit into their necks and tossed them to the side like rag dolls. I wanted to scream, but I knew that it wouldn't help us at all.

"Zach, do something," Gray begged. I covered my ears with my hands as the thing roared again. It's reflection was showing on the glass and I could see the tons of teeth in it's mouth. I was going to die and I knew it.

"I'm trying," Zach snapped. He kept forcing the lever forward, over and over. We didn't move any faster and I just started sobbing. "Shut up, Mackenzie!"

"Stop yelling at her!" Gray defended me and I covered my mouth with my hands. I tried to quiet myself down but it wouldn't work. "She's scared!"

"So am I!" Zach shouted.

The thing raised it's claws and tried desperately to grab onto the gyrosphere, but it only ended up causing us to spin in circles. Everything was going round and round and I felt so sick and scared. The tears were flowing freely at this point.

We were all screaming for our lives as soon as we came to a stop. I turned around in my seat and saw that the monster was chasing us like we were some kind of soccer ball. I sat down quickly and went to grab at the control. I was so, so desperate and needed to get out of here. I kept trying to move us forward but the screen kept reading it as a malfunction.

I didn't want to die here. Not in the middle of the restricted area of a theme park. Would they even find us out here if I did?

As if reading my mind, the monster came back for another round. He used his claw to turn us upside down and I felt all of the blood rushing to my head. Gray started sobbing and Zach was just cursing. I knew that he was trying to be the brave one here, but there was no use.

I tried to regulate my breathing but I kept choking on my tears. I was going to die. Today. Without a goodbye.

There was a vibrating sound and we all looked to the bottom of the ride and saw Zach's phone. The contact read 'Claire' and I went to reach for it. Zach pushed my arm away and tried instead.

"Move your damn hair!" He cursed at me, still trying to reach for it.

I gathered it together and continued to cry out of fear. Every time he came close to grabbing it, it'd slip out of his fingers.

"We're doomed," Gray sobbed. We cried together.

"Shut up, both of you!" Zach yelled. "You're fucking distracting me!"

There wasn't a point to trying anymore. The thing bit into the glass, lifting us off of the ground. I cried even harder in the realization that this was going to be my last memory. I was going to die in a huge hamster ball with two brothers I didn't know.

It dropped us onto the ground and the glass started to crack. I looked up and saw that one of it's razor sharp teeth was lodged inside.

Jimmy Fallon was one fucking liar. So much for the "strongest and toughest glass".

"We're going to die," Gray continued to yell and I just covered my ears.

The dinosaur kept lifting us up and dropping us again. Everytime we touched the floor made us jump.

"Hold on," Zach shouted. He reached to Gray first, unbuckling his seatbelt. He undid mine next and then his before we all fell out.

We all scrambled to our feet before running. Zach and Gray were noticeably ahead of me and I couldn't help but continue to cry. I was going to be the one stupid kid who was the sacrifice. I was going to be the one to die first and they'd make it to safety.

I guess I deserved it for being such a bitch.

"Come on, Mackenzie!" Zach demanded. I kept trying to keep up but I couldn't.

"I'm not going to make it," I cried. I was so weak, and I could feel that the thing wasn't too far away based on how the ground shook with every step it took. I turned around and it just justified my thoughts.

"You like games, don't you?" He asked, practically yelling over all the noise.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I asked, still trying to keep up.

"Here's the big game: keep your eyes on me and don't look back," Zach grabbed my wrist and dragged me along with him. He pulled me to his side and we both took off running after Gray.

Gray skidded to a stop and I nearly slipped if Zach hadn't held onto me.

"It's a dead end," He panted.

I went to turn around but Zach stopped me.

"I said don't look back," He snapped. I didn't know if he was comforting me or making sure we all didn't die. I nodded once and he looked over the edge.

It was a huge waterfall. It looked like a two hundred feet drop and I felt my heart stop beating.

"We have to jump," Zach decided.

"I can't swim," I rushed.

"Does it look like I fucking care?" He yelled. I flinched and he pulled me closer so I was against his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and if this wasn't a deadly situation I would've fainted. "Gray, jump first. We'll meet you down there."

Gray didn't even reply, he just jumped.

I heard the dinosaur coming closer and I immediately held onto Zach for dear life.

"Keep looking at me," Zach muttered under his breath. I went to ask what he meant, but suddenly he was lifting me off of my feet and jumping over the ledge. I held my breath and we hit the water in seconds.

I opened my eyes and saw Gray and tons of water. I almost panicked. Zach took one hand off of my waist to put to his lips in an attempt to tell us to stay under. I wanted to yell at him that I couldn't fucking hold my breath that long, but what choice did I have? It was nearly drown or get eaten by a mysterious fucking death machine.

Moments passed before we heard the same loud roar from before. Zach waited a few more seconds before gesturing for us all to resurface.

Gray climbed up first. Zach held onto me and lifted me up while Gray grabbed my wrist to pull me the rest of the way. I laid in the mud and coughed numerous times. They both laid in the dirt and ended up hugging each other, cheering.

I just sat up crying.

I cried because I was just chased over a cliff by a dinosaur with hundreds of large teeth. I cried because I almost died. I cried because I didn't have anyone to comfort me at the moment like Gray had Zach, or like Zach had Gray. I missed my mom.
