After a while, both the doctor and Veer came downstairs. Chandra and Mamta got up from the couch, and Chandra inquired
"What happened?"
"Ruhi has a high fever," Veer said to Chandra without looking at her.
"Now, I'll go; take good care of her for a few days," the doctor said and left. By now, everyone had gotten up, and the hustle and bustle had begun in the mansion.
"Good morning, everyone," as a familiar voice was heard, everyone turned their heads towards the sound and saw Shanti entering.
Rajat also stepped out of his room, rubbing his head and letting out a yawn. "I'm feeling very hungry," Rajat said.
"Yes, yes, Your Highness, we'll arrange a lavish breakfast in front of you," Mamta said, and the next moment, she lightly slapped Rajat's head.
"No bathing or grooming, Maharaj wants breakfast straight away."
Shanti smiled slightly and said, "You freshen up and come; Ruhi must have already started preparing breakfast by now," but no one responded to her remark.
"Shanti ji, you prepare today's breakfast," Veer said.
"Why, hasn't Ruhi woken up yet?" Shanti asked in surprise.
"No, it's not like that. Ruhi isn't feeling well, so she won't do any work for a few days," Veer said as he went upstairs.
chandra rolled her eyes at his son's statement
"Is Bhabhi not feeling well?" Rajat asked.
"Yes, she has a high fever. The doctor has just gone," Tarun informed.
"But what happened to her?" Shanti asked, concerned.
"If a mistake is made, punishment is inevitable," Mamta said, her nose crinkling in defiance.

Veer took a deep breath and headed towards the bathroom.
After 15 minutes, he emerged from the walk-in closet wearing a casual grey body-hugging t-shirt and jeans. He opted for a casual look today because he had no intention of leaving Ruhi alone and going anywhere. He picked up his laptop from the table next to the cupboard and, sitting on the bed beside Ruhi, turned on his laptop. Just then, there was a knock on his room.
"Come in," he said.
A house helper entered and said, "Sir, this might be madam's phone; it was left outside." He showed the phone to Veer. Veer reached out, extending his hand to take the phone, and said.
"You can leave now."
"Yes, sir," he left.
He tapped on the phone screen and saw 5-6 missed calls from Ruhi's mom. He wanted to put the phone aside, but then it vibrated again.
He saw "Mom" flashing on the screen. He hesitated for a moment but then slid the green icon with his thumb and placed the phone to his ear.
"Hello, Ruhi beta?" came a voice from the other side of the phone.
"No, it's me mummy ji, Veer."
"Oh! Veer beta, how are you?"
"I'm fine, how are you all?" Veer hesitated a bit.
