It was a pleasant morning, but not for everyone. Ruhi woke up, rubbed her eyes, and turned her head to check the clock, discovering it was 6 in the morning. She tied her hair into a bun, stood up from the couch, and observed her husband still asleep on the bed.

"Come, daughter-in-law," an elderly attendant approached the car's door with a smile. Ruhi alighted from her car, adjusting her lehenga, while Chandra and Prakash also disembarked from their car, heading towards the palace gate.

"Maa, where are you heading?" Veer inquired, stepping out of the car.

"Off to bed? I'm exhausted after managing all the tasks for your wedding," she yawned, blinking her eyes to emphasize her weariness.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. You did all the work," he mocked his mother, earning a light slap on his arm.

"Bua, at least perform their aarti. Make your newlywed son and daughter-in-law feel welcome in your house," Rajat suggested.

"Daughter-in-law? But isn't she just a replacement?" Ruhi's eyes widened after hearing Chandra.

Is she going to tell Veer the truth? But wasn't she the one who forced her to marry his son? Veer is happy right now, so why is she revealing this?

"Replacement? You can say that. After all, she realized her feelings for me were too late, so we had to replace..."

"What feelings are you talking about, son?" Chandra cut off Veer.

"Didn't she marry you because her sister eloped?"

"What?"

Veer furrowed his brow and looked at Ruhi. He wanted her to deny his mother's statement, but she just lowered her gaze.
