Hey guys ❤️

Hope you like the chapter

"You sleep here like a good girl, or I'll tie you up to the bed,"

Ruhi attempted to subtly inch away upon hearing those words. She knew she couldn't win against Veer physically, and since he had generously offered this soft, comfy bed for sleeping, why resist?

She released Veer's T-shirt, placed her head on the pillow, and closed her eyes. Observing her concede, Veer took a step back.

Ruhi abruptly opened her eyes, sensing movement on the other side of the bed. Spotting Veer lying on the bed, she hesitated and asked.

"Are you sleeping here?"

Veer, placing his palms behind his neck, retorted, "Where else would I sleep? In the garden?"

"No, I thought you might be sleeping on the couch tonight," Ruhi said, flickering uncertainly.

"Why would I do that?"he asked

"Because you told me to sleep here today?"she scratched her neck

"Yes, I told you to sleep here, but that doesn't mean I'll be sleeping on the couch," Veer declared.

"I'm sleeping here tonight, so for tonight, you sleep there," Ruhi attempted to explain.

"I can sleep wherever I want in my room," Veer replied, closing his eyes with a sigh.

"Fine, sleep here. I'll go back to the couch," Ruhi said, placing her feet on the floor. As she rose from the bed, Veer caught her hand from behind. With a slight lift, he pulled her onto the bed.

"You'll sleep here too."

"What's this? You can sleep wherever you want, but not me?"she complained.

"No."

"Why not?"

Veer pondered for a moment and then, with a smile as if he had solved a great mystery, replied,
"Because you're in my room, so you have to follow my rules."

"Are you a 10-year-old kid? will you allow us to play with your toys only if we listen to you?"  Ruhi took a deep breath.

"Did you just call me a little kid?" Veer frowned.

"Your actions suggest so," Ruhi rolled her eyes.

In the next moment, Veer pulled Ruhi towards him, tossing her onto the bed, and encircled her with both arms.

"Shall I show you how childish my actions can be now?"

Ruhi gulped down the lump in her throat and averted her gaze. Veer's frustration was evident; he had grown tired of Ruhi's habit of looking everywhere but at him when they talked. Using his thumb and index finger, Veer held her chin, turning her face towards him.

"Ruhi, eyes on me when I'm talking to you."

"Veeransh ji".Ruhi met Veer's gaze.

"Hmm?"

"Can you get off me?"

"Huh?" Veer was perplexed.

"You're too heavy. Please get off me,"

Ruhi repeated, and then Veer realised that he was still on top of her, putting his full weight on her unintentionally. He cleared his throat and said,
"Okay, I'll move, but only if you don't insist on sleeping on the couch."
