Mrs. Sejal Singh

"We've arrived," Tarun said to Sejal as their car entered the Thakur mansion.
She nodded, and they both stepped out of the car.

Tarun adjusted his blazer and began ascending the steps of the mansion with Sejal by his side. Mamta, Abhilasha, Rajat, and Prakash stood at the threshold of the house. Mamta held a plate for the traditional welcome ceremony.

"Place the kalash down," Mamta instructed the maid. The maid obediently placed the rice-filled kalash on the doorstep.

"You don't look like a newlywed bride at all. At least cover your head a bit," Mamta rolled her eyes and taunted Sejal's appearance.

She wore neither bangles nor sindoor, just a delicate mangalsutra-like chain that was simple yet beautiful. She was dressed in a mint green frock suit with a net chunni. Sejal, without a word, covered her head with the dupatta.

Mamta performed the aarti and instructed Sejal to tipped the kalash.
Sejal did as she was told, stepping onto the kumkum plate before entering the house.

while Tarun's eyes searched for Chandra, who was nowhere to be seen. "Tarun, come. Both of you should first seek blessings from Dadi," Mamta said, and Tarun nodded.

Both of them bent to touch Abhilasha's feet. She placed her hands on their heads without a word and walked away.

Then, they touched Mamta and Prakash's feet. After Mamta had her feet touched, she turned and walked away while Prakash pulled out a red envelope from his pocket and handed it to Sejal.

"It seems like you'll have to endure a lot," Sejal muttered to herself after everyone had left.

"Don't worry. You won't have to endure anything. My family is very nice. This is just some initial anger; everything will be fine in a few days," Tarun replied, to which She raised an eyebrow.
