feelings

It two weeks after Mel had told me she liked me. We were now in the talking stage. I was happy, happier than I have ever been. I had talked to other girls before, but none like Mel. And I mean it when I say that. She makes me feel like myself, and I am myself around her. I want to see her all the time. I know I felt like this before about her, but it is even more than before. It was already winter break, and it was snowing outside. I got out of bed and went downstairs. "Hi apaaa" I told my dad. "Hi mija, I made you a coffee." He replied. I went and grabbed it and sat down with him. "No vas a ir a tu trabajo right?" I asked him. "No. They cancel, but I am gonna go watch a soccer game with Marcos from work." He replied. I nodded my head, drank my coffee, and we just watched his novela. It was boring but I couldnt tell him to change it, he was watching it first. I got up and put my cup in the sink. "Thanks apa." I told him and walked upstairs.

M- you wanna do something today?? Its snowing a little bit and its gonna stop in an hour:)

A- sure what do you wanna do??

M- umm i was thinking like going to a cafe and then the park again??

A- yess you want me to bring my canvases and paints so we can paint at the park??

I quickly went to go change and I put on my black baggy jeans, a brown the smiths sweatshirt, and my black beanie. I walked downstairs and I told my dad," Apa voy ir con Melanie hoy." "Ah ok dont be late home. Tienes dinero?" He asked. "Yea I have money, and I wont be late I will get home before it gets dark. I will see you later apa, bye!!" I told him while putting on my vans. I then left with my skateboard. He doesnt know im talking to Mel. He doesnt know at all. He has mentioned if I was gay... but come on he is a mexican dad. I dont know how he would take it. I then went on my skateboard to Mel's house. It was kind of far from my house, past Isa's house but it was okay. When I got to her house, she was getting out of the front door already. She walked up to me and hugged me." Hi Lex!!" She said. I hugged her back and said,"Hi Melll" We then started walking to the cafe. "What are you going to get?" I asked. "Oh probably just a coffee and a cake pop!! What about you?" She replied. "Im going to just get a coffee." I replied. "Just a coffee? Howw!!" Mel asked. I laughed and said,"Im not hungry when it comes to cafe food. I only like the coffee." She laughed and went walked in and ordered our coffee. We then walked to the park. "This is so good!!" Mel yelled. I smiled and I agreed. "You want some Lex?" She told me. She had gotten an iced brown sugar coffee. "Yes please omgg" I replied and she gave me a sip of her coffee. "Thats so good omg. I think I fell in love with your coffee." I said. "Wow more than me??" She asked. And thats when I realized I had flipped. When she tells me questions like that, even as jokes, it makes my stomach do flips. "Yes totally more than you." I said sarcastically. "I see how it is!!" She yelled and didnt share her coffee with me. I started to laugh, but than I took her cake pop. "Wait no my cake pop!! Lexxx!" She yelled and started smiling. "Give me some of your coffee and I will probably give it back!" I said laughing. "Ok fine!!" She yelled giving me her coffee. "Give me some of yours though!!" Mel told me. "Alrightt" I replied handing it to her. She grabbed it and she drank from my cup. "Thats so strong!!! How can you like that Lex??" She said while she jumping up and down. I started laughing hard. "Its not that strong Mel!!" I yelled while laughing. "It is strong!! I almost had a heart attack." She said while laying her head on my shoulder. We had already gotten to our park, and sat on our bench. "You still want my coffee Mel?" I said sarcastically. "Lex I will have a seizure if I ever drink that poison ever again!!" She told me. I laughed and I started drinking my coffee. We were watching as birds flew on top of the trees, the trees swaying, and how I was admiring her. She was beautiful. She made me feel happy, her eyes were pretty, her smile was warm, and everything about her made me feel more attracted to her. "I dont want to loose you." I thought while looking at her. "Whats wrong?" Mel asked. "Nothing, you just look beautiful." I replied. "Im gonna run away." She said as she covered her face. "Haha why because I said that??" I responded. "Lexxx!!" She yelled while I started to laugh. "You wanna paint now Mel?" I asked. "Omgg we should paint at my house, my mom isnt going to be home for the whole day, she went to go stay with my grandma for today." She asked. "Sure lets go!" I told her and we left.
