college scouts pt 2

The refree blew the whistle and I kicked the ball to my defenders. It was a long ball, but Johanna trapped it with her left. "Sides sides!" I yelled. Johanna kicked the ball high to my left winger and she brought the up. Ale kicked it to me, and I kicked it to Alexis. She kicked it back and I shot the ball, but I hit the post and went back. "Hey good job!!" My coach yelled. I ran back and acted like a wall close enough to the goalie. "Ref tell this girl to move!!" The goalie yelled. "She is at the correct distance kick the ball already!" The ref yelled and blee the whistle. She kicked it and it went up. Their midfielder caught the ball and dribbled up with it. They passed it to one of their forwards, but Maria stopped the ball by kicking it up. Mel trapped the ball, and passed it to me. I dribbled the ball up, but their defenders kept on grabbing my jersey and my hair. I kept running and I kicked it to Alexis. "Finish!!" I yelled. She shot the ball but the goalie caught it. It was already 30 minutes in the first half, only fifteen more to go. Isa kicked the ball to me and I passed it to Ale. "Run up with it." I remembered my dad telling me. I trapped the ball and started dribbling up, I passed three defenders and it was just me and the goalie now. "Shoot the ball once you are outside the box." I remembered my dad telling me. It was like he was the narrator to my story. I shot the ball as strong as I could, and it hit top right. "NUMBER 10 FROM NORTHRIDGE WITH HER 39TH GOAL THIS SEASON!!!" The loud speaker yelled. "Omg lex!!!" Mel yelled and jumped on me. My teammates high fived me and hugged me. Five more minutes went by and the ref blew the whistle for half time.

"Good job Alexa." My coach told me. "Girls you are doing amazing, your plays are exactly like how I taught you. I really have nothing to say but to beat their asses." My coach said to my teammates. We got our water and I saw my dad in the bleachers. I smiled and waved hi. He waved back. He was my narrator to my soccer book. The referees blew the whistle for second half and our same line up went back to the field. This time Union Lake started with the ball.

The whistle was blown and I crashed in with the other team. Number 8 from Union Lake had the ball, but it was super easy to take it away. "Ale!!" I yelled. I passed it to her, but a defender fouled her. The referee blew the whistle. I ran up to her and asked her if she was alright. "Yea im alright." She replied getting up slowly. "Free kick for Northridge!" The ref yelled. Alexis came up to kick the ball, and our coach yelled for code blue. I stood outside the box and the midfielders were inside the box. My wingers were on the corner of the box. The referee blew the whistle to let her kick it, and Alexis gave a strong shot. The defender kicked it back and it was coming at me. I quickly got in angle with the ball, kicked it, and I made it right in the middle of the net. "NORTHRIDGES NUMBER 10 WITH ANOTHER GOAL!!!" The speaker yelled loudly. Our student section started yelling and screaming. To celebrate my 40th goal, I ran up to my dad in the bleachers and pointed at him. Some woman was laughing with my dad and patted my dads hand. I ran up to Mel and hugged her. "Good job baby." She whispered. "Thanks babe." I replied. We ran up to our intial positions and the referee blew the whistle to start again. The opposing team was mad, and they went past midfield, through our defenders, but Emma was quick with the save. "Wake up this is reality!! Just because you are winning two to zero dont mean anything!!!" Our coach yelled. Emma kicked it up to the midfielders and Isa got the ball. She passed it to Alexis and Alexis passed it to Mel. Mel passed it to Ale, letting Ale run up with the ball. She passed it to me outside the box, and I passed it to Alexis. "Come on Alexis finish strong!!" I yelled. She kicked it with full force and the ball went in. "NORTHRIDGE WITH ANOTHER GOAL!!!" The loud speaker yelled. "OMG LEX OMG!!" Alexis yelled loudly and she jumped onto me. I hugged her back and we all piled up. "Whats wrong with you guys!!" The other teams coach yelled at them. "Sub!! I want a sub!!" The opposing teams coach said. "Okay hold on." The linesman replied. He held his flag for a signal sub in and four girls got subbed in. We started again and I quickly took the ball away from one of the girls. I dribbled up with it and no one else was up. The goalie ran up to get the ball, but I chipped it up and made another goal. "NUMBER 10 FROM NORTHRIDGE WITH ANOTHER GOAL?!!!" The speaker yelled. I ran to my coach and jumped onto him. "Nice work Alexa!" He yelled and started laughing. There was now only ten minutes left of the game, and we were winning 4-0. The other team started with the ball again, and their defender passed the ball all the way up to the two strikers. One of them passed it to the other and they shot the ball outside of the goal. "Ugh!!" She yelled and kicked the ground. "Move it bitch!" The same girl yelled and pushed Mel. "Yo watch it hoe!" I yelled and got infront of her. She pushed me back and the referee went infront of her. "You better not do anything or its a yellow for you!!" He yelled at her. "And you dont say anything let me handle it!" He yelled at me and walked away. I looked at Mel and laughed. "Haha woww!!" She yelled. The opposing team kicked the ball again. With eight minutes remaining, they made another good play. Number 9 from Union Lake made a wall pass to number 8 and number 9 shot the ball smack middle. "GOAL FROM UNION LAKE!!" The loud speaker yelled. Nobody cheered but their bench players. Their coach? With a stone cold face. "KEEP PLAYING YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT A WHILE AGO!!" Their coach yelled. They stopped celebrating and went back to their spots. "Mel I want you to do our play from a while ago." I whispered. I kicked the ball to Ale, and she passed it to Liana. Liana passed it to Mel, and she kicked a long ball to me. "Ball!!" I yelled and ran to it. I trapped it and dribbled up passing by two girls. "Fuck!!" A girl yelled and grabbed my jersey. Another girl grabbed my arm and I fell. "STOP!!" The referee yelled. "Hey are you okay??" Mel ran up and asked me. "Get away from her! Let me check on her you aren't the referee." The ref yelled. I got up, looked at him weirdly, and replied to Mel with," Yea im fine." My arm and my quad were bleeding from the way they dropped me, and to make it worse, it started raining. With five minutes left, the referee gave us a penalty. "Lex you kick it." Bella told me. I went up and placed the ball. He blew the whistle and the goalie kept on making faces. I kicked it top right since she was kinda short, and it went in. I ran to hug Mel, and the loud speaker yelled, "NORTHRIDGE AGAIN WITH A GOAL!!!" "Lex your doing so good!!" Mel said as she hugged me. We were all walking back to our spots, but the referee blew the whistle for the end of the game. The end score was 5-1. My jersey was bloody, my arm and quads, and my hip and side of my back were bruised and muddy. Everyone was soaked.

"Good job ladies!!!" Our coach yelled loudly. We lined up to high five the other team, but they didnt even high five me or Isa. "Bruhh" I told Isa and started laughing. "I know right so ignorant!" She yelled. My coach came up to me with this man with a clipboard and told me, "Alexa, this is a soccer coach from a college in Oregon. He is looking for one girl and one boy from varisty. I contacted him to come watch you." "Oh hi.. Nice to meet you." I said and shaked his hand. "Omfg omfg." I thought. "Hello Alexa, you have great talent at such a young age. Im a college scout and I am here to ask you for your time. How would it sound when you graduate you get a full ride to my school, and you can play on my team?" The scout asked. "That'd be amazing." I replied. "Very well, here are all the steps for the process and my business number and card, feel free to ask your coach for some questions I can answer as well. I hope I see you in two years at my school Alexa." The guy said and walked away. "Good job Alexa, you have a good future in soccer ahead of you." My coach said.

"Hey im going to say hi to my dad Mel." I told her. "Oh ok are you going to stsy for the varisty boys game?" She asked. "Yea I am I already called him during school if I could." I replied to her and she smiled. I walked up to the bleachers and I saw my dad talking with the woman. "Hi apa." I told him. "Hi mija you did good today. Your celebration was nice haha" He laughed. "Haha thanks I did it because you helped me score two goals." I replied. He laughed and started introducing me to the woman. "This is Estella. We work together y su hijo va a la escuela contigo." He said. "Oh really whats his name?" I asked. She smiled at me and said, "His name is Giovanni." "Ohh yea I know him I see him practicing on the field sometimes." I replied to both of them. I sat down next to my dad and he was telling me how I did. "That second goal was nice mija. You scored alot today." My dad said. "Yea I did, pero mira they made me bleed haha" I told him. "Ay mija be careful on the field. I know there was like two big girls on you pero fíjate cuando de van a pegar." He replied. I nodded my head yes, said bye to him and Estella, and went walking back down to Mel.
