Mel's pov

I had gotten a call from Isa that Lex wasnt fine. Obviously I got scared and ran to her house. "Hey where is she at?" I said as I barged inside her house. She pointed to her room and I ran upstairs. When I entered I saw her sitting on the bed. "Lex..?" I whispered and walked to the bed. "Im sorry I didnt mean to." Lex whispered and I sat down. She wasnt even looking at me like she always would, and she didnt look like herself. Her eyes were red, like she had been crying, her bandages were bloody, and she smelled like beer. "Baby you dont have to be sorry.. I know what youre going through right now. I just wished you talked to me about everything more." I told her. She nodded and laid her head on my shoulder. "I just didnt want to feel like I needed help all the time." She whispered again. "Dont think like that Lex.. I'll always be here to help you. Come on, lets go to my house. You can get cleaned up there." I said and got up. She got up from the bed and we walked out. I thanked Isa and Adrian for taking care of her and we left.

"Lift up your arms." I whispered to Lex and took off her shirt. "You dont have to help me.." Lex said. "I want to though." I replied smiling. She went inside the shower and I went back to my room. I feel so bad.. She got out ten minutes later and changed. "Come on lets lay down." I whispered and got on my bed. She followed and we laid down. "Wait I forgot to wrap your arm!" I told her and got up. "Oh yea I forgot about that." She responded and I got my bandages. "I got the better ones because I didnt want them to bleed through." I said as I began wrapping her arm. "Fuck..thats too tight!" She yelled and flinched. "Sorry.. Its probably because it got worse Lex.. did you take care of it?" I asked. She paused for a moment and shaked her head. Once I finished, we laid back down and started hugging. "I dont know what I'd do without you." She whispered and hugged me tightly. "Me either." I replied and smiled.

She made me so happy like hello?? Where did she come from. I dont care if she had problems with alcohol or family. Everyone has problems with something. I did as well, and she doesnt care. I love her so much. She cares so much, why does she have to go through so much? I wish it was me instead. "Do you feel better?" I told her. She looked down and smiled. "Yea. Thank you amor. I didnt know what to do. Its hard to ask for help you know..?" She replied. "I know and thats okay. I will always be here for you!" I responded and gave her a kiss. She kissed me back and we fell asleep. I didnt know I can enjoy life this much, until I met her. She was so kind to me, gentle as well. When I tried to get with other people, they just used me for my body. Lex saw me for me. She always wanted to take me out on little dates, would hug me, not ask for anything out of me, buy me stuff, and compliment me randomly. I dont know if this is the bare minimum or anything, but to me, it was everything.

"Baby.. wake up." Lex whispered. "Mhm?" I mumbled. She sat up from my bed and I pulled her back down. "Haha baby its the morning already.." She whispered back. "What? Already.." I replied and sat up. She kissed my cheek and got up. "I have your toothbrush in there already." I told her as I got up. She smiled and I followed her to the bathroom. We brushed out teeth and did my bed. "Are you hungry? I can make you something!" I said and walked out my room. "Sure, you want me to help you?" Lex asked as we walked downstairs. "Omg yes!! Its gonna be so much fun!" I yelled and ran to the kitchen. She laughed and walked towards me. Lifting me from the floor onto the counter. "Your so cute when you get excited" She told me. "Haha wow!" I replied as she kissed my forehead. "So what are we making then?" She asked. "Hmm? Omg lets make waffles!" I said. When we were done making them we sat in my living room. My mom was never home this summer. Just with her friends all the time. "Do you want to watch Moana?" I asked. "Of course I do!" Lex replied as she gave me the remote. We started eating and watching the movie until it ended.
