After about twenty moments of calmness, Mary Lou arrived, she walked into the room. She was a plump woman with grey hair that she had cut about to her neck, she had a typical grandmother dress, green with a pink floral pattern."Hello Betty!"She exclaimed as she saw her granddaughter,"And how is my favorite Granddaughter?"She asked joyfully, you'd never guess that she had just found out twenty minutes earlier that her daughter had died, then again she only had five daughters and three sons, so I guess it didn't make much of a dent."Grandma!"Betty exclaimed as she dropped her crayons, which her brother then put back into the box, Betty then ran to her grandmother, she still had no clue her mother was dead and her father was dying. Ricky then after putting away all the crayons, went over to his grandmother and gave her a hug."Hi Grandma,"He said in a gloomy tone, still upset about his mother."Hi sweetheart, I brought you guys gifts!"Mary Lou exclaimed as she pulled three wrapped presents out of her large purse that all old lades seemed to be required to have."Yay!"Betty exclaimed,"One for me and One for Ricky, but who's the third one for?" She then joyfully accepted the gift from her grandmother, Ricky accepted his as well."The third one is for your aunt, since she is a lovely lady and alerted me on the news, and took care of you!"Mary Lou stated as she handed Risa a gift. Risa was overwhelmed, she very seldom received gifts that weren't on her birthday or anniversary and normally then it would only be one thing from her husband. She took the wrapped gift in her hand, and then watched as her niece and nephew opened theirs. Betty had received an old raggedy stuffed owl, witch she then clutched to her chest in happiness."That Owl, was one of your mother's favorite toys growing up,"Her grandmother explained as she sat down on one of the plastic hospital chairs, her fat rolling off the sides,"Ricky go ahead and open yours." Ricky then carefully opened his gift, inside was an old pocket knife. Risa leaned over her nephew and realized something, that wasn't any ordinary knife, it was made by an ancient witch. Mary Lou then motioned for Risa to open hers. She peeled the wrapping paper off in a mature way, barely ripping the paper at all. When she opened it she saw that inside was a book, but not just any book, it was THE book. Where did she get these from? The knife would be understandable, as often when a witch or warlock came to the suburbs they sold their weapons as a statement of turning over a new leaf, they would then get a new one if they joined the guild. But this book, it was a Ball a Ram, these were never sold, as every witch kept theirs coming over, it was a part of the witch heritage, even Risa still had the one that she and her brother's had brought with them!"Thank you,"She said politely,"Scott, may I speak with you for a moment?"Scott then stood up from where he had been coloring with his children and followed Risa outside."What is it?"Scott asked, as he wondered what was so urgent that Risa had to pull him away from his own children."Two things, one I know how to save Rusty, two I think Mary Lou is a witch,"Risa explained, knowing she must sound really odd."First of all what should we discuss first, I'm fine with talking about these things, we just can't talk about them all at once,"Scott stated, bringing order into their conversation."Okay let's talk about how Rusty's mother in law is a witch!"RIsa stated."Okay, why do you think that?"Scott asked as he ran a hand through his hair and yawned, he wasn't trying to be disrespectful, he just hadn't gotten much sleep for quite some time."First of all she gave me this!"Risa exclaimed pulling the Ball a Rame out from her coat, she had tucked the book with in the liner, as the Ball a Rame was a thick but pocket sized book."The Ball a Rame?"Scott asked, not believing his eyes,"That's it, I'm going to talk to her." He then marched inside and grabbed Mary Lou by the arm."Unhand me you baboon!"She exclaimed shaking off his grip."Not until you admit to being a witch!"Scott demanded, all eyes were now on him."I will not admit, especially in public, now unhand me! Security!"Mary Lou shouted. A big man in a security outfit then came and grabbed Scott by the arm."Sir, we are going to have to ask you to stop, or else we will have to remove you from the area,"He stated. Scott then held his hands up and stepped away."Sorry,"he said."Let me know if he messes with you anymore,"The security guard then walked back over to where the other security guards were standing."Come back,"Risa instructed to Scott."Okay, so we can't find out if she's a witch or not, what about the thing you mentioned on saving Rusty's life?"Scott asked as he went back outside where Risa was."My mother, she knew of every poison, past, present, human, warlock, witches, and she knew the cure to everyone, if only we could get her to come here,"She explained, as she paced back in forth, accidentally making the automatic doors open and close."That's nice, so we just need to call her right? And Rusty will be fine afterwards?"Scott assumed, he hadn't known of Rusty and Risa's family issues, he hadn't even realized they didn't see their parents regularly after only Risa and his kids showed up."She doesn't have a phone, and she still lives in Silas, in prison,"Risa explained."Okay then so all we gotta do is go back there and explain Rusty's condition then bring her back here and he'd be healed?"Scott asked."Pretty much, we'd have to get on a plane pretty soon though, and what will you do with your children?"Risa asked."The guild I and Rusty are in has a babysitting service, so should we get going, also no need for a plane, there's a railroad from the guild that leads all the way to Silas,"Scott explained, as he also paced back in forth."I guess, I'll meet you in the restaurant,"She said, using The Restaurant referring to the guild's hideout, she was not a member of the guild but was in alliance through Rusty, so she was only allowed to enter the hideout if accompanied by a guild member."Alright see you then,"Scott stated, with that they both went to prepare for their journey.
