Chapter 12:The Final Chapter

The three of them walked briskly through the streets of Saer, they were tempted to run, but that would only raise suspicion, and that they could most certainly not live with, they needed to get back to the other land fast, the faster they got there, the more likely Rusty would still be alive."So you're 43?"Margot asked in shock as she looked over her eldest child."Yep,"Risa stated nodding her head,"Rusty's 26.""Wow you guys grew up so fast, so Rocky must be 34 or so?"Margot asked, she had no clue her second born was rotting in an asylum somewhere in foreign land."Mom, I hate to say this, but I haven't seen Rocky since he was 12,"Risa stated, she hated breaking this kind of news to her mother."What?!"She exclaimed, Risa's mother that is,"You lost your little brother?!:"Mom calm down."Risa stated. Scott watched back and forth realizing how screwed up Rusty's family really was, he thought about if he ever got a chance to talk with Rusty ever again he would apologize for when he used to always make fun of him for not having a family, or not talking about them at all. Now he understood."I can't calm down! You lost your brother!"Margot shouted as they got on the train."I didn't loose, him! He went insane and was taken to a mental hospital!"Risa bursted out, unable to contain the truth anymore."What?"Margot asked, no one were to say anything yet. As they sped off on the train. Margot tightly held onto the armrest of the seat she had been sitting in. When the train stopped, the all leapt off, and started running, well Risa and Scott started running, as soon as they heard little Marilta's sweet singing voice."Why are you running?"Margot asked as her daughter grabbed onto her wrist pulling her along."Hear that sweet little girl's voice?"Scott asked as they ran through the narrow hallways once more, Scott was holding Risa's hand pulling her after him. Risa was doing the same with her mom."Yeah what about it?"Margot asked."She's a Loffmor, this place is crawling with them,"Risa answered for Scott."Aw pish posh, it's just a little girl,"Margot stated as she pushed her daughters hand away, she then started walking towards the little girls sweet singing voice, she was singing in the sweet sounding tongue of the Loffmor's, disguising the lyrics of their harsh meaning."Mom, come back!"Risa cried, she then turned to Scott,"What are we going to do?"She asked him, she was so worried about her mother."We have to anger Marilta, then she'll explode like her father, and your mother will be fine,"Scott decided as he paced back and forth in the hallway, it was one of the lesser narrow halls."But how do we know it will work?"She asked as she stood there and fumbled with her fingers."We're just going to have to try,"He stated as he stopped pacing."AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"The heard an ear splitting shriek of pain."Mother!"Risa exclaimed she then ran to the source of the sound, all that was there. All that was there was just Margot Rose-Blanchet's dead body, the intestines pulled out, and there was the little girl, eating Margot Rose-Blanchet's intestines. Risa opened her mouth to scream, but Scott's callused hand came down before she could, he knew they were safe right now, but if RIsa or he were to do anything that would attract it's attention they were certainly be done for."Don't scream,"Scott whispered into her ear, "just grab the antidote, and let's get out of here." Risa stared at Scott. How dare he suggest they abandon her mother! The woman who gave birth to her! Raised her!"I can't leave her,"Risa whispered to Scott,"She's my mother.""Just get the antidote, we can come looking for her later,"Scott lied, he then gave her a little nudge and she scrambled over there the beast child not noticing as she was too busy chewing on the slimy intestines. Risa then reached over to her mother's necklace. It had a little jar attached to it, in the jar was the antidote. She took the necklace then quickly and silently scurried over back to where Scott was."Got it,"She said, they then ran though the other halls and at last they reached the ladder. They had been gone for a whole day and couldn't wait to get out and sleep. The first thing they did when they got out was run straight to the hospital. They ran through the automatic doors where their children were still waiting with Mary Lou."How is he?"Risa asked once she saw her brother's mother in-law."They were talking to me about maybe letting him go, but I told them to wait till you got back,"Mary Lou said after standing up as Risa spoke to her."I have a possible antidote, where's the doctor?"Risa exclaimed as she started running out of breath, they sure had ran a lot."Go ask a nurse,"Mary Lou said sitting back down on the plastic chair. Risa then went to the first nurse she saw, it once again was Kimberly."Excuse me nurse, I'm looking for the doctor who is caring for Rusty Blanchet,"Risa said as she fiddled with the jar necklace of her mother's."Oh you didn't know?"The nurse asked sarcastically."What? What didn't I know?"Risa demanded, this did not sound good, not at all."Rusty Blanchet is dead."
