casey's povAbby practically begged me to be nice to Ellie. I wasn't planning on being mean but I also wasn't planning on talking to her anyway. As soon as I seperated myself from Brynnleigh I headed for the drinks and poured myself a glass. They were all sitting in a circle and the last spot was between Abby and Ellie. I focused my eyes and bit my lip as I slowly headed towards the spot on the floor between them. I was contemplating sitting on the bed but I thought it'd be weird. When I sat down my gaze directed towards Abby.
I'd drank maybe 2 glasses of the mystery alcohol and the conversation had finally switched to something I can join into. Me and Abby both found a common interest in video games and we'd play them together when we had nothing else to do. She'd facetime me and we'd just spend hours playing them. Before I could say anything Ellie jumped in and started talking about her favorite games. I had no idea she actually liked video games. I smiled lightly at her while she was talking our ears off about her favorites.
"Seriously, Abby? That game is so easy!" Ellie exclaimed. I was actually the one who convinced Abby to start playing so this was more of an insult to me.
"It's fun though! Me and Casey play it all the time" Abt nudged my shoulder and raised her eyebrows, signalling me to join the conversation. Now the room was silent and I had no idea what to say. How should I act? Me and Ellie were technically still rivals.
"Super" my mouth hung open slightly as I searched for something more to say but I couldn't find anything.
"Super?" the room's silence filled with soft laughter at my nervousness. I'm guessing they thought I was drunk or something since no one had been keeping track of how many drinks I'd had.
"You're like a god in overwatch, come on"
"I mean.. it's fun. It's nice having you to play with" I felt like the odd-one-out. The only
person who wasn't good friends with everyone here."We should all play together when were not busy" I looked around to see everyone's reactions to the idea and the first person to respond was Ellie.
"Yeah, I'd have to get the game, though" Ellie glanced at Brynnleigh who'd been silent the whole time the video game conversation went on. She was asleep with her head resting on the back of Ellie's office chair.

I'd be lying to myself if I said I wasn't excited to play with Ellie and abby. I wanted to get closer with Ellie and playing games with one of our mutual friends was like the perfect setup. Even though we'd have to go back to being rivals tomorrow becuase of the game it felt nice to think we could be friends. Maybe she'd even be nicer to me during the games depending on how this goes.
I was watching movies on my phone when it started to ring. Incoming call from Abby and (xxx-xxx-xxxx)
I scurried to my desk and turned off my camera before answering. Abbya and Ellie's faces both turned to their phone when they heard me pick up.
"Took you long enough" Abby laughed and pressed her finger to her phone. I took notice of both their cameras being on and situated myself before turning mine on. Ellie's eyes were staring at the bottom left corner of her screen where I'm guessing I was. I smiled and turned my direction to my laptop that notified me it had turned on. As soon as it opened it started blaring the movie I was watching on my phone since I had it synced up. I scrambled to mute my laptop and Ellie snickered along with Abby.
"Sorry, I didn't know it was unmuted" Abby's laughter became louder when I tried to explain myself.
"Ellie already downloaded it so I'll start a match" If Abby weren't here this would've been the most awkward facetime call of the century. I clicked my mouse on the icon in my taskbar and watched the loading screen until it opened. abbygoat69 invited you to a match
