Being in her room made me feel weird. My stomach churned when I looked at certain points in it.
The nightstand beside her bed made me feel the worst. The best way I could describe would be solitude.
I can't help but be curious as to why I feel like this. The closer I moved to the nightstand, the feeling became more subtle.
Why the hell do I feel like this?

"Does this professor ever shut up?"
"Do you ever shut up?"
The girl beside me didn't seem so thrilled by the comment. Maybe embarrassed, hence the sudden redness in her face.
My phone dinged from my pocket.

Casey <3: What's this?

I stared blankly at my phone. There's no way I'm not dreaming right now.
"Are you okay?"
"Hm? Yeah"

Casey <3: I wasn't trying to I just got a weird feeling
talk later im in class
Casey <3 sent a reaction

I shut my phone off, pushing it back into my pocket.
"What just happened"
"Nothing. That girl I'm going out with found a dumb picture"
"Picture?"
How can you not remember? It wasn't taken all that long ago.
"The one of you.. the polaroid one"
Her face immediately went red. I guess she remembers now. I should've thrown that out before I got a new girlfriend.
"Why didn't you get rid of that?!" She turned her head down to her desk.
"I was planning on it"
The class ended not that much later. I knocked loudly but there was no response. Casey must've left really fast.
Maybe I should think about this before calling her. The picture was back inside my nightstand. Unfortunately. I pulled it back out and- it seems even worse when I imagine how it looks in Casey's eyes.
Talking in person might be better for this.
Inside her room I heard another voice. It sounded familiar. Shit, that's Abby!
I put my ear to the door, careful not to knock anything into it.
"You can talk to me, Casey. I'm always here for you" There was a moment of silence before a phone dinged.
"Agh, I gotta go. We can meet up at the cafeteria if you want?"
"Okay" Casey's voice cracked slightly, is she crying?
