all i wanted to do right now was lay in bed. i wanted to hang out with abby but i was also worn out from all the work from this week. i decided to pull through and i got up to get dressed.

hey, what are u wearing?

i wanted to get an idea of what to wear so i wouldn't look like an idiot.

abs: just shorts and a tank top
abs: it's a small get-together, don't stress

i sighed dramatically, i honestly didn't feel like dressing up. i put my phone on my bed and rummaged through my drawers. i put on a pair of grey sweatpants that were two sizes too big and a tight graphic t-shirt. i glared at my four pairs of shoes next to my bed. white airforces and 2 colors of converse. plus, a pair of tattered boots i bought a while back.

as i put on my shoes, i felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

i waited until i was done tying my shoes to answer. i didn't even know who it was but what i did know was that i hated texting people.

Maybe: Brynnleigh: Me and Abby were thinking of going to the gas station real quick, wanna come?

Me: yeah, i'm coming outside rn

i rushed out the door and down the stairs which always felt like the longest walk of my life. i wasn't planning on abby driving me and i was a little sad that brynnleigh was gonna be in the car with us.

when i made it out the main entrance i caught my breath. when i looked up i saw abby and brynnleigh staring at me with their eyebrows raised. i smiled and walked over to her car. the only available seats were in the back so i shoved all my things in my pocket and climbed into the backseat.

"hey casey!" their greetings overlapped eachother and i smiled widely.

no one was moving and i figured we were waiting for more people.

"are we taking anyone else?" i said, my breath finally at ease. i forgot how hard it was to run down 4 flights of stairs.

"yep, waiting for ellie." abby called from the driver seat. i closed my eyes in disbelief. me and ellie would have to sit in the backseat in this cramped car. god, i'm getting secondhand embarrassment just thinking about it!

"listen, i know you guys have some stuff going on but please just this once- be nice?" i had no idea her and ellie were that close but i guess she was pretty much friends with everyone.

"yeah, yeah." i looked into brynnleigh's mirror that she was fixing her makeup in. me and brynn had been friends for a while but we never were that close. neither of us were quiet, it was mainly that we just had nothing in comon. when we talked we only exchanged jokes and it was usually because we were drunk or only had eachother to keep company.

the main entrance opened and i watched as ellie's pupils became dialated at the sight of me in the backseat. i bit my lip to restrain myself from smirking cockily.

the car door opened and i couldn't help but burst into laughter as i saw ellie's face go red. i don't know why i was laughing, soon figuring out were both in the same situation just that i found out first. i felt abby's eyes burning into mine in a warning way. she knew trouble was gonna start. abby backed away from her parking spot, almost scratching a few of the cars near her.
