Tokto: ...
Tokto: ...
On his hospital bed, Tokto had his eyes closed and was anxious. He was shaking slightly, and his sore right arm wasn't helping him relax. He had taken some sleeping pills to "force" himself to sleep, yet even after a while, he was still fully conscious. He felt no fatigue, was in perfect possession of his means.
Tokto: *What's going on?*
He slowly opens his eyes, trying to inspect the surroundings of his room, but nothing was different. It was a strange feeling. When he looked at his surroundings, the first thought that came to his mind was that everything looked ordinary, tidy, in its place. Nothing unusual. Tokto took a deep breath, and tried to get up by leaning on his right arm, a bad idea. He immediately lost his balance and collapsed onto his bed.
Tokto: *I see. I thought it would be a little different*
Tokto, although everything pointed to the contrary, was dreaming. He knew this for two reasons, the first was that for some time he had been using sleeping pills to get to sleep and was therefore aware of their effectiveness, the second was that he felt the same sensation as when he he lost consciousness in front of Imaud, that of an illusion of normality. If he had wanted to lean on his right arm, it was then to check if the wounds of reality were reflected in the dream. And the answer was yes. Now all he had to do was check if the converse was true.
Tokto: *Keep calm. Stay calm. Stay calm. Stay calm...*
Tokto only saw one possible solution to his injury. That dream. That exact moment he was injured was the only explanation. Yet deep down, he found this explanation so irrational. He had therefore fallen asleep not in order to prove that this creature could cause him real harm, but in the hope of proving the opposite. And for that he had no other choice. He was going to have to face this creature and let himself get hurt. So when he wakes up he could be clear about it. He got up from his bed, with this little voice in his head screaming at him that this was a bad idea. But he reassured himself by telling himself that there is no such thing as a bad idea, it's all a question of execution. He walks around his room a little.
Tokto: Everything is as normal. So much so that it was disconcerting. Before it starts, I should find something to defend myself.
He opens the door slightly to look outside. It was actually an empty act. He had had this dream enough to know that he would be alone during it. As for the beast, it didn't really go unnoticed. Trying to find out whether or not he was alone was therefore completely useless because the answer was obvious. But it may also have been just an unconscious attempt to preserve some semblance of control over his situation. In any case, he was indeed alone and after making sure of that, he stuck his head out of the room discovering long, barely lit corridors.
Tokto: *I feel like I'm in a horror movie. Is this hospital really like that or is it my dream that maintains a heavy atmosphere? Regardless, the most important thing is to equip yourself before this thing happens*
He wanted to go out but found himself paralyzed at the entrance to the door. What could possibly be holding him back? It was obvious. The fear. Stress. His body suddenly becoming as heavy as steel and yet fluttering like a string in the wind.
Tokto: *Now that I think about it... It's pretty weird. I feel like... Everything is going... So good... Why haven't I been attacked yet? What will happen if I leave this room? Besides, nothing tells me that I would have time to find a weapon? Plus we're in a hospital, will there be anything useful? Shit shit shit. I'm panicking. I have to stay calm. I have to...
-BROOOUM
Tokto: ...WHAT?... BUT...
In an instant, the roof of Tokto's room had been torn off, leaving only a huge void quickly replaced by a familiar "face". Tokto stared at the beast, looking desperate. Her red pupils stared at him as well, unblinking as always.
Tokto: *Shit...I wasted too much time thinking...I...*
The beast let out a slight growl and began to open its mouth.
Tokto: *I'm going to die*
She throws herself at Tokto, still motionless. But she did not devour him. In place. She struck him hard with what appeared to be a right arm. The blow was so powerful that Tokto went through the wall to find himself in the room on the other side, covered in blood, unable to breathe, his bones in pieces, his organs in mush. This time it was not just an arm, but his entire body that had been affected. Her legs were bent in a completely indescribable way. His left arm as well as a good part of his torso had been torn from his body. Pieces of what used to be the muscles and bones of his shoulder could be seen a little further away. Part of the face opened, revealing its eyeball and its gaping jaw. The back was also shredded, so much so that you could see his ribcage. The pain felt was unimaginable. It was no longer a body, but a simple mass of flesh. However, Tokto was still alive. But in such a state that any reflection was impossible. He was too busy agonizing. If he could still think about that moment, he would surely have told himself how bad his idea was. But pain was the only thing on his mind at that moment.
The beast remained motionless for a moment, watching Tokto plunged into a pool of blood and flesh. She didn't move for several minutes, as if admiring what was happening. Usually, she devoured him at the slightest opportunity, however this time, she seemed to be preoccupied with something more important, to Tokto's great misfortune, because at that moment he only hoped for one thing, to be devoured as soon as possible. quickly. Finally, the beast decided to approach him slowly. But as she approached him, the building collapsed under her weight, causing them both to fall. The structure of the building had been weakened by the beast's first attack and had barely resisted its weight until then. Tokto, even in full possession of his means, remained a man, so he could not have done anything in full free fall. So in this state, he was totally incapable of anything. The beast, not distracted by the collapse of the floor, supported itself on the rubble around it and threw itself once again at Tokto. She took him in her mouth, from the base of the right shoulder to the left side, with such force that her teeth sank slightly into his already badly damaged body. Following the force of her momentum she once again slammed into the wall to find herself in another room this time on the second floor, with Tokto still unable to react between her teeth. His tongue once again began to roam Tokto's body, his wounds, his hair. In his mind, he could only beg this thing to end his suffering. And this wish would be granted in the next second. Immediately after she finished licking Tokto, she increased the power of her jaw, slicing him in two. Tokto was dead.
Beep beep...
Michel: BUT WHAT IDIOT, WHY DID HE DO THAT?! QUICKLY BRING ME SOME SUTURES AND SKIN GLUE. HURRY UP TO START THE ANESTHESIA PROCEDURE!!!
Nurse: YES!
Tokto: *Huh... it's the doctor from yesterday... Michel. But... What is he talking about?*
Michel: HE NEEDS A BLOOD TRANSFUSION IMMEDIATELY!! BRING ME BLOOD BAGS FROM GROUP A-! HOW IS HIS PULSE?
nurse: WE... WE'RE LOSING IT...
Tokto: *What... A blood transfusion... a weak pulse... I don't understand...*
Michel approaches Tokto's face in order to put on a mask necessary for anesthesia. Tokto's eyes were slightly half-open, looking more like he was dead than awake. For this reason Michel did not pay more attention to it and continued his operations. Although focused, you could clearly see that he was very upset about this situation. While putting the mask on Tokto, he whispered a few words.
Michel: You are really stupid...
