Do-Young peeked into the master bedroom, being careful not to wake his girlfriend and soon to be wife. Most people would have thought they were married already, considering the couple had seven kids together, but they were taking things slower than most people would.
"Can we wake mommy?" Heeseung tugged on his appa's shirt. Do-Young nodded, taking the five year old by the hand and leading him further into the room. Niki was still asleep in his crib and there were three lumps under the covers on the bed that had not been there when Do-Young got up a few minutes before. Do-Young had no doubt that it was the twins and Sunoo who were under the covers seeing as how Jungwon was asleep in Do-Young's arms and Jay never got up unless he absolutely had to.
"Rin-ah" Do-Young whispered softly, sitting down on the edge of the bed to keep from disturbing his sons or wife. Heeseung wriggled away, crawling over to his mom and climbing on top of her. Ha-Rin slowly woke up, seeing that she was needed.
"Hi baby. Did you sleep well?" Ha-Rin sat up, holding Heeseung in her lap.
"Yeah!" Heeseung nodded, curling up in Ha-Rin's arms.
"Appa made breakfast" He whispered, looking up at his eomma. Do-Young smiled as he watched them. This had not been the plan that he and Ha-Rin made when they were younger but he didn't mind.
"Did he? Well then I guess we should go see what he made" Ha-Rin gasped dramatically, leaning down to talk quietly to Heeseung.
"Yeah!" Heeseung nodded, already standing up. Do-Young picked his oldest son up, holding him in one arm and Jungwon in the other.
"Can I see the baby!?" Heeseung suddenly remembered that he wasn't the only child anymore, even though he had known that for the past four years.
"You saw him last night, Seungie" Do-Young pointed out.
"But I want to see him again!" Heeseung whined, bending backwards so that Do-Young almost dropped him.
"Okay, you can see the baby" Do-Young gave in, if only to keep the kid from falling out of his arms. Heeseung leaned out of his dad's arms when they got to the crib, peering over the side of it down at his little brother.
"He's so tiny" Heeseung whispered, as if raising his voice would break the little baby sleeping peacefully in the crib.
"You were that tiny once, though it's hard to believe" Ha-Rin cut in. Heeseung's face scrunched up and he shook his head. He didn't believe that and thought his mother must be joking. He couldn't remember ever being as small as his baby brother. At that moment, three little heads peeked up from behind the bed, matching grins on their faces.
"Well, look who's up?" Ha-Rin went around the bed, picking up the smallest to set him on the bed before getting the twins too. The door opened and a four-year-old came wandering in, bumping into Do-Young's leg, looking up to see what obstacle got in his way and then promptly falling asleep on the man's leg.
"Who is that dear?" Ha-Rin stood up, holding Sunoo in her arms.
"Our little bluejay" Do-Young looked at the two boys in his arms and then at the one on the floor. Ha-Rin noticed his dilemma. She grabbed a large blanket like cloth to the side and secured Jake on her back and Sunoo on her front before picking up Jay. She did the same for Do-Young, allowing him to tuck Jungwon into the front pouch and Sunghoon on his back. Niki woke up for just a moment when he was picked up but then he went back to sleep. Heeseung walked between his parents while they went downstairs. As soon as all the boys were settled with their breakfast in front of them, Ha-Rin went back upstairs. She was the one who worked to support the seven boys while Do-Young stayed home to take care of them. It was agreed upon when Heeseung was born and Do-Young dropped out of college to take care of the kid, leading to Ha-Rin being the only one who got her degree. Not that Do-Young minded, he enjoyed staying home with his boys.
