A dark tunnel stretched ominously before the group, and Glenn ran up to another bloody message from Maggie on the cold concrete wall. The blood was still wet, leaving a smidge on Glenn's fingertips as he touched it.

"It's still wet. We're gaining on them," Glenn declared.

Glenn approached the entrance of the pitch-black tunnel, straining his ears, he attempted to discern any sounds emanating from within — signs of walkers lurking in the darkness. Echoes of their groans reverberated from further down the tunnel, their numbers unknown.

"We sure as Shinola can't go up and over," Abraham commented, admiring the sheer height of the tunnel. "How about around?"

Glenn shook his head, determination etched on his face. "No, that'll take a day, maybe more. If Maggie went through, then I'm going through."

Abraham, however, interrupted, urging Glenn to pause and listen. "Shut up a second. You hear that? That right there is a long, dark tunnel full of reanimated corpses. I don't have full-on certainty that I can get Eugene through there alive."
