Kamala pov…

“We told the dancers that you can’t be there to help choreograph the dances and stuff so we have professional dancers helping them.” I sighed, nodding. It would have definitely been better if I was there to do everything but, look at where I am now.

“Then for the buildings, we have sent it off to the construction builders and they’ve started already. You don’t have to worry because we have people on the site for you.” I nod again. “Changing seasons is going smoothly as always.”

I put all my stuff into my duffel bag then zip it up.

I’m finally leaving this hospital. It’s been… depressing and boring. Anyway, I’ve mostly healed but not fully. I leave for Thailand tomorrow so as soon as I get home, I need to pack all my stuff.

“Kamala,” I look at Koda and she gives me a small smile. “I’m sure we’ll come back after the thing we have to do in Thailand.” I shake my head. “You know how my uncles are, especially Komen. He will not allow me back into England, no matter what the excuse is.”

“I’ll get Seven to try and convince them. Okay?” She patted the top of me, making me smile. “Okay, fine. Let’s finally get out of here.” I stand up, holding my bag in my hand. We exit the hospital and enter our cars.

Time skip…

I enter the house, “Mummy!” I smile as Ashton runs up to me. I bend down, opening my arms for him to run into. “Oh, my baby boy.” I picked him. I scrunch my face in pain but ignore the pain shooting through my ribs.

“I’m not a baby.” Hm, sure. “Of course you're not.” Koda pats his back with a smile then walks further into the house. “Mummy, what happened to you?” Ashton asks me. I look at him and then smile.

“Mummy was being careless and got into a car accident.” I lied as we entered the kitchen. “Why were you being careless?” He asked, playing with my hair. I sat down next to Jay, “I don’t know but I’ve learnt my lessons and I will never careless again.” He laughed, kissing my cheek.

The door opened revealing Kenard.

“Uncle Kenard!” Ashton wiggled in my hold making my ribs hurt but I played it off with a smile. I put him down and he ran to Kenard. Kenard picked him up and walked out. I sighed heavily, resting my back against the chair.

“Are you okay?” Jay asked and I looked at him. “Neutral.” I mumbled, looking away. “So, what exactly is happening now?” I heard Lee ask. “What do you mean?” Koda asked him.

“I mean this whole Thailand thing. When are you guys leaving for Thailand?” he asks. “Tomorrow.” I answered his question. “Tomorrow?!” We all look at Lucas. “My bad, I didn’t mean to shout but, damn. That early?” I just sighed, looking away from him.

“What are you guys even doing there?” Carver asked. “Business. Stuff you can’t know about.” Trinity answered him. “Are you guys coming back?” I don’t say anything. No one says anything.

“Kamala?” Jay nudges my arm and I look at him. “Hm?”

“When are you guys coming back?” I let out a heavy huff. “Fuck knows. This could take a long time.” I shrug. “Kamala.” I looked at Trinity and she looked at me sternly. Basically telling me to tell the truth.

“What’s with the looks?” Carver asked Trinity. “You guys aren’t coming back?” Lucas asked. “Look, we're not sure yet. After what happened to Kam, it is possible we might not come back but we’re going to try and change her uncle's mind.” Jennie said.

“Your uncles? What has your uncle got to do with this?” Jay asks. “They don’t want me to come back. They told me specifically that if I stay here any longer something bad will happen. Unfortunately, they were right so it’s possible that I might not come back.”

His eyes widened.

“Are you serious? You're an adult, you can do whatever you want.” He tells me. “And your Pranpriya Hiranchai. You don’t have to listen to your uncles.” Lee says. “You will be amazed at how Thai culture works.” I told him.

“This isn’t about culture. This is you being allowed to do whatever you want. You don’t have to listen to your uncles all the fucking time.”

“And so what if she does?” For fuck sake.

Both my uncles walk in with Seven. She smiled at me and I smiled back at her.

“Tell me Jay. What if she does listen to us? Is there an issue?” Komen asked him, staring at him with a nonchalant face. Jay doesn’t say anything and stares back at him. My uncles are very scary tall people. I would understand the intimidation.

“Hm, silence. I like that.” I see Seven looking at me, trying not to laugh in the back so I look away from her so I don’t end up laughing as well. “You four,” Kavi points at us girls. “Follow us.” I sigh, standing up from my seat.

I pat Jay’s back and he glares at me. I just smile and follow the rest out.

“Have you started packing?” Komen asked me. “Nope,” he sighs and starts walking up the stairs. “Follow me Kamala!” I groan in annoyance and follow after him. “We’re going to the other house!” Uncle Kavi shouted.

I showed him my bedroom and we entered.

“Bring all your suitcases out, I will help you pack.” I rolled my eyes and turned around. I felt a slap across the back of my head, “Ow!” I turned around. “Don’t roll your eyes at me.” He pointed at me and I huffed, going into my storage cupboard.

I pulled out three of my suitcases.

“Only three?” I looked at him confused. “Kamala, you are not coming back to London. You need to pack every single thing that you have here.” Oh my days. I sigh, pulling out the rest of my other suitcases.

“Ashton is also coming with us, so I’ll pack his stuff while you pack your own stuff.” I hummed, not bothering to look at him. “His bedroom is next door.” I told him and he left the bedroom.

Time skip…

“You're not coming back, are you?” I look at Jay. He looks at me and I look away. “I don’t think I am.” I told him. “But we will see each other, I’m sure of that.” I smile at him. He just sighs, “You're an adult, Kamala. Why do you have to listen to your uncles?”

“I know but things are hard and messy. I only came back here to finish business but I ended up back with my brothers and then you…” He looks at me but I look away. “Me, what?” I can tell he’s smirking.

“Go on,” He poked my side, making me slap his hand. “What were you going to say?” He grabbed my hand. I look at him and kiss him. I smile and he grabs the back of my head attaching our lips together.

We move in sync as he runs his fingers through my hair.

I will miss him.
