ROSELYN AND DANIELLE were on the way to the Oakley family house in Hartford. Hazel had called Roselyn last night and asked if they wanted to come up for the weekend. The girls had to go pick up the wedding dress anyway, so this way it would also be a chance to fully plan out the Jack and Jill party happening soon.

Danielle was buzzing in excitement as they made their way down the street where Isabella lived. Even though they were there to take care of some things for the wedding and the party, she was there to hangout with Isabella and her friends. Isabella called the house earlier that morning and told her to come prepared to play volleyball. A group of girls were coming with them to play a game of volleyball at the park and go out to eat.

Danielle may seem a bit over dramatic and childish for being excited about going out, but the sad fact is she never got to do this in Stars Hollow. Don't get her wrong, she loved hanging out with Rory and Lane but they never really did...things. Rory hated athletic activities or things that involved a lot of people. Whereas Lane was fun, but her mother barely lets her leave the inside part of the fence around her house. She asked them before she left if they wanted to join for the weekend but Lane's mother obviously denied it and Rory and her mother are in a bit of an argument that they need to patch up.

It was kind of a silly argument too, which made this little trip a bonus.

Roselyn pulled into the large driveway of the Oakley house. Isabella was outside loading some of the volleyball equipment into the back of her car but stopped suddenly when she caught sight of the mother and daughter. Isabella rushed over towards the car and opened up the passenger side and envelope her best friend in a hug. The mother watched them with a small smile as she grabbed the bags out of the backseat.

The older blonde made her way to the inside of the large house. The Oakley's were also just as rich as Roselyn and Danielle. However, their house was probably one of the few houses in Hartford that didn't have a dozen maids and their own cook. Roselyn grew up surrounded by maids that did everything for her. It was helpful to an extent but after a while it got even more claustrophobic. Living in the Gilmore house didn't exactly help that either. She was glad that Isabella was adopted into a family that didn't raise her the same way she was, even though they're surrounded by snobby rich people almost all the time.

"Hazel?" Roselyn called out into the home as she walked through the open doorway to the main hallway.

"Coming!" the women called out, rushing down the hallway. Hazel muttered a few apologies "I was just finishing up the guest rooms for you. But I assume that Danielle and Isabella are going to want to share anyway to have some girl time?" she sent a jokingly accusing look towards the two girls that were now standing behind Roselyn.

"Isabella, can you please take their bags upstairs to their rooms?"

"Sure." Isabella nodded as she took the bags from Roselyn who sent her a grateful smile before both the teenagers made their way up the stairs.

Hazel still wore the lovesick grin on her face just like she did the day she told Rosleyn about the engagement. She swung her arm around her best friend's shoulders and led her further into the house. "So tell me all about your ideas for the wedding."

THE TWO WOMEN were sitting around the living room, holding cups of coffee in their hands as they continued their little chat they started an hour ago when they arrived.

They haven't discussed much of anything about the wedding yet. Roselyn only really informed her about the set date for the occasion at the independence Inn. She didn't want to go into detail without Benji being there.

So, instead they got distracted talking about Danielle's first day at Chilton.

"So, you're telling me that she wasn't nervous at all?" Hazel questioned, her eyes wide in surprise "like..at all?"

Roselyn shrugged her shoulders "not really. Maybe a little, but not a lot."

Hazel exhaled deeply. "Damn. When it was Isabella's first day she was so stressed that Ben almost passed out just thinking about her upset."

The two giggled a little, but a small but sad smile was still on her lips. She adored the father—daughter relationship Isabella had with Benjamin. It was so wholesome that she couldn't help but feel guilty that John was such a horrible father when Danielle was younger. His terrible behaviour made her resent him.

Hazel nudged her friend's shoulder, realising she was lost in her own thoughts. "I bet she found a cute boy to dream about. Isabella came home on the first day telling me all about the cute girls up there."

Roselyn laughed slightly,  "I think she has, but I'm not sure. She hasn't told me any names yet but I'm almost one hundred percent sure there is a boy."

Daneille had told her a little about a cute boy she met on her first day, but Babette had run over to her house to inform her one of the crazy stories that happened to her and Ms. Patty earlier that day, so they never had the chance to talk about it. She'll probably bring it up sometime later, but Danielle didn't keep a secret from her mother for long so Roselyn would probably find out soon anyway.

Wanting to change the topic back to the wedding, Hazel sat up slightly in her spot on the sofa. "I can't wait for you to see my wedding dress."

Rosleyn grinned, finding her best friend's excitement wholesome. "We're going to get it tomorrow, right?"

"Mid-day tomorrow." Hazel reminded her "me, you and the girls are going to take a day while Ben and James hangout."

Hazel told her about this James guy. He was Benjamin's childhood best friend and now was his best man. He was taking care of the food and stuff, apparently he was the owner and head chef of a very popular restaurant in Hartford.

Despite Hazel and Benji talking about him, she never actually seen him. She wondered who the hell she was partnered up with for taking care of the wedding.

"I still have no idea who James is" Roselyn spoke with a shrug. Hazel frowned "I've told you about him before."

Roselyn snorted "Yeah, but I've never actually seen him."

"He's a very busy man."

As the two men knew they were talking about them, the door to the house opened and shut. Roselyn could feel the slight breeze come through the house as Benjamin made his way through the door of the living room.

"Hey, honey." He smiled, leaning down to kiss his fiancé. Roselyn smiled widely at the two before looking back over to the door. She froze as she caught sight of a very attractive man standing in the doorway. He was probably the most gorgeous man she's ever met.

"Hey." She smiled "we were just talking about you guys."

Benjamin looked up from Hazel and looked at the other two "oh! You two finally get to meet."

James further into the room, his eyes not leaving Roselyn as he held out his hand for her to shake. "James."

Roselyn couldn't help the grin that made its way onto her face. She took his gentle hand in her grasp and shook it. "Roselyn. It's nice to finally meet you, James."
