Spectrum's nightmare:
Nine: Why do you think I live down here? To avoid everyone... you included.
Spectrum: I had this life experience... and I don't want to betray anyone that is close to me!
Sonic: We can make this work, Nine. Trust me!
Nine: *scoffs* Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.
Spectrum: No more... please...
Nine: You know, after all this time, I think I finally understand you, Sonic. You want to save everyone; friends, foes, total strangers. You say it's because you're a hero, and that's what heroes do. But deep down, after what you did, destroying your own world, it's the only way you can ever live with yourself, even if that means you won't live at all.
