A Grim Redemption - Shattered Hearts: The Sequel

It takes Four to No Place... and Grim

Sonic, Tails, Spectrum and Nine arrived on the next Shatterspace: No Place! Sonic is always really scared of water and he doesn't know if he wants to back to No Place, because that world is just like he's already drowning on that cerulean sea of doom! The group saw the Kraken, already repaired for the pirate's new crusade on the sea.

Sonic: PLEASE, NOT WATER AGAIN!!! - Sonic whined.

Nine: Can you stop whining, Sonic? - asked Nine, while frowning.

Tails: *sighs* We know that you can't swim Sonic, but can you at least calm down? - Tails was also frowning, but with a calm demeanour.

Spectrum: Unlike you, Sonic... I WAIN'T AFRAID OF WATER AND ALSO I CAN SWIM! - Spectrum about what's completly different about himself and Sonic's hydrophobia.

Sonic: *gasps* IT CAN'T BE TRUE!? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? - asked Sonic in awe.

Tails: REALLY? - Tails had the same reaction.

Nine: Everyone's different and no one is perfect, guys! - said Nine.

Spectrum: You say it, pal! - Spectrum said with a bright smile.

Nine: Well... we're going to land on the ocean, Sonic. Hope that your shoes won't let you DROWN! - Nine almost said that with a snarky attitude, pun intended.

Tails: *gasps* You were owned, Sonic!

Sonic: *ticked off* Nine... we're going to talk about this later!

They landed on the sea, right next to the Kraken, Nine was still uncertain that his journey of redemption will going to have a happy ending.

Dread: Isn't that Sonic and the fox boyo who tried to...

Black Rose: Wait, Dread! There's also our lad Sonic and another... fox boyo?

Sails: And another hedgehog lad!

They almost started to lose their pirate language when they saw Nine, with suspicion.

Nine: Sonic, Tails and Spectrum... I think I gave you even more problems. *crying* I mean... I ALMOST DESTROYED THE ENTIRE SHATTERVERSE! I... - before he could finish it, Tails patted his head so that he could let go the horrible experience.

Tails: Don't worry about that! However, you tried your best to gain Sonic's friendship the only problem was the fact that you lost control of your emotions. - comforted Tails.

Nine: Thanks, Tails! I appreciate it. - said Nine, while stop his crying.

Sails: That was an explosion for ye to be sure but twas nothing couldn't fly away from! - said Sails.

Dread: *draws his sword* Ye were like the Scourge of the 7 Seas, be sure! - said Knuckles the Dread, with a gritted teeth of anger.

Spectrum: Ahem... AHOY ME HEARTIES? Enough with this suspicion! - he yelled, raring for some motivation of the pirates.

Sonic: Crew, meet Spectrum and Tails... and you already know Nine! - said Sonic, already with a bad vibe about Nine's return in front of the pirate crew.

Batten: Ahoy there, strangers! What brings ye to the No Place? - asked Batten.

Tails: *giggles* To know all of you? - asked Tails, smilling nervously.

Sails: Technically, anything that floats be a boat. - said Sails.

Spectrum: You're right about that! There's plenty of fish on the sea. And another times, there's a bunch of piles of seaweed! - agreed Spectrum. 

And then he said with a arrogant and honest tone on his voice: I'm like one of those that was not "dead men tell no tales"... in our darkest day!

Black Rose: Sink me! - she was shocked by this, even by the fact Spectrum hasn't told them anything about his past.

Spectrum: Hmm... Sink, huh? *smirking* Sonic... Time for "shark bait"! - Spectrum said that, with a clear intention of pranking.

Spectrum's regulators were glowing after a strong breeze of air were blown, while he heard the waves of the ocean aproaching to all of them. He then used this to his advantage to manipulate the air and water currents and envoloped Sonic with the wind that was already blowed away, while Spectrum creating a small whirpool to trap Sonic but not drown him. Nine and Tails were fascinated by Spectrum's aerokinesis and hydrokinesis, because they knew that Spectrum was pranking Sonic while the pirates, including Catfish and Froggy on the lookout of the Kraken, were all surprised with their jaws dropped down with smiles on their faces.

Sonic: PLEASE, HELP ME!!! I'M DROWNING! I'M DROWNING! I'M... DROWNING??? - Sonic panicked to death for a moment, but he forgot that in No Place he can walk, jump, and run on water.

Nine: *chuckled* You should see the look on your face, Sonic! - Nine was trying to contain his laughter, at same time his 7 mechanical tails were twitching.

Sonic: THAT WAS NOT FUNNY, SPECTRUM!!! I almost died... oh... my kicks... I forgot! -Sonic yelled out loud, but later he understood Spectrum's intentions.

Tails: *laughed* We saw how Spectrum wanted to make others smile and have some good entertainment. said Tails, with his eyes closed because of the laughing matter.

Everyone laughed at Sonic's reaction, since Spectrum pranked to show them that not always is serious among friends. Nine explained to the pirate crew that he and Spectrum were in peace, to have fun amongst friends, but he was also sad that he couldn't do it sooner when he went rogue while he had weak expression of joy, but it was a start. 

Sonic jumped and spindashed back to the others, while he had the sensation that everyone should celebrate for Nine and Spectrum, since they became good friends.

After the party, almost 3 hours later they FINALLY ARRIVED TO THE GRIM!!! But they were tired and slept for a while, until... A PORTAL OPENED, BUT... WHO WAS ON THE OTHER SIDE???

Spectrum: *yawns* Good grief, what is it...?

Nine: *groans* Don't tell it's the Chaos Council!? - said Nine, with a glare.

Tails: No, it's...

Sonic: EGGMAN?!? - Sonic knew that another battle against his arch-nemesis.

Suddenly, Shadow appeared in front of group since he followed Dr. Eggman and defeat him at any cost.

Shadow: Eggman found and snatched the Paradox Prism... AGAIN! His plan continues to be the same as before. But, since the doctor knew the Chaos Council would betray him, Eggman used the power of the Prism to trap the 5 of them into the Void! - Shadow revealed to them that information, to much of their shock. 

And they ALL yelled:
