MIKHA'S POV
"Truth or dare?" Aiah asked while smiling cheekily when the bottle pointed at me.
Me and my friends are having a sleepover at Aiah's house. There are 6 of us in our circle of friends, Me, Aiah, Stacey, Maloi, Angelo, Maki.
We just graduated, and in a month, we'll be heading to study in college. Iba iba ang course na itatake namin, so we're taking advantage of our time together before college starts, even though we'll all be attending the same university.
Aiah and I have been best friends since birth. We grew up together with Angelo and Maki, who are my cousins on my father's side. They're just a few months older than me, and we're close, especially when it comes to kalokohan.
We met Stacey in fifth grade, and Maloi is my another close friend, almost as close as Aiah. I met her in fourth grade, and we instantly clicked. She's the one I tell my secrets to, that I can't tell Aiah.
We've been in the same classes together since elementary until senior high.
I'm taking Photography, even though my parents are against it. They wanted me to study Business Management, but I refused. I promised them that I would only handle our family business if they let me study my dream course, so they agreed.
Aiah will be studying Medicine, Maloi is taking Psychology, and my cousins are also taking Photography for the same reasons as me. Stacey, on the other hand, is studying Culinary.
"Truth." I wouldn't say dare. I know how her mind works, she might make me do something stupid.
Sinimangutan niya lang ako. I unconsciously smiled at her facial expression.
"I know kanina pa nag-iisip ka ng kalokohan na ipapagawa sa akin, but sadly, I wouldn't give you the chance, so dream on, best friend." I teased her, which made the whole group laugh.
Maloi handed me a drink, and I almost choked to death when I heard Aiah's question.
"Have you ever fallen in love?" she asked seriously.
"Jesus Ai, we've been together since our infant days. Have you ever seen me in love?" I asked her in disbelief.
"No, but I've seen you with different girls every time. It's just a simple yes or no. Why are you so in denial, duh?" she retorted.
Yeah, I'm gay, and they're aware of it, and there's no issue about it. Well, it's valid because I'm intersex.
Maloi, Stacey, and Aiah are not aware of it, they only know about me being gay.
So, the way I move is basically like a boy. We discovered it when I was young, but essentially, I was born a girl.
My upper body is feminine, but the lower part, you know.
My cousins laughed at what they heard. Of course, they laughed, kasama ko sila mambabae.
You can't blame us, good genes run in our blood.
"Yes," I answered.
"Yes? Don't lie just to cover up for you being babaera. As you said, we've been best friends since infancy, so I know if you've ever been in love or not." Ai said, rolling her eyes.
"Come on my dear bestfriend, you're not know everything about me." I said while plastering a joking smile.
But deep inside, I wish she was aware.
I wish she really knows me.
I wish she saw what my mind was thinking.
I wish she knew what makes my heart beat.
I hope she's aware of how deeply I've fallen for her.
I wish she knew that every nerve in my brain was consumed by her existence.
Every beat of my heart whispers her name, longing for her attention.
I hope you understand that my entire being craves you. I am falling deeply for you, Aiah, and even if I wanted to, I wouldn't know how to unlove you.
You're like a sunset that I can't unsee, a beauty that should be admired but is hard to reach.
