MIKHA'S POV

"Babi, what did I do po ba? bakit ka umiiyak?" I softly asked, rubbing Aiah's back as she cried.

Aiah is nine weeks pregnant now, and to be honest, everything still feels surreal.

Parang kahapon lang nung nalaman namin,  we’ve been married for three years, and never ko inexpect na magiging ganito kabilis ang takbo ng buhay namin.

I still remember that day clearly, we were just hanging out, cuddling on our couch when she snugglrd at me when suddenly she pulled away and ran to the bathroom.

Narinig ko siyang sumusuka, and I followed her.

"Okay ka lang, babi?" I asked, knocking gently on the door.

She nodded, pero halata sa mukha niya na hindi siya sigurado, days passed and it kept happening—lagi siyang sumusuka, especially in the mornings.

Akala namin stress lang or baka may nakain, but after a while, we decided to consult a doctor.

That’s when we found out, buntis siya.

At first, hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman.

It was a mix of shock and excitement whhen I saw the positive result, I looked at Aiah, and she was just staring at me, her hand on her stomach.

Now, nine weeks na and she's been so emotional. I know it's not easy for her, but it's not easy for me too lalo na ang lala ng mood n'ya lately.

Like now, it's 11 pm, and I was sleeping soundly when I suddenly heard Aiah crying.

I immediately sat up, rubbing my eyes and looking over at her.

She was sniffling, wiping her face with her hands.

"Eh kasi." Aiah sniffed.

"Ngayon ko lang naalala na sobrang down na down ako noong umalis ka when we had a misunderstanding because of Gelo and Jeremy."

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at her confused.

Gelo and Jeremy?

That was five years ago.

Why is she bringing that up now?

"What about that, babi?" I managed to ask kahit naguguluhan ako.

"Iyak iyak pa ako non when your friends told me that you left for good." she continued her voice cracking.

"Tapos ngayon ko lang naalala na Sir Era talked to me pala asking for my permission because of the photos na gagamitin for the photo exhibition."

She turned to face me, and I just stared at her, dumbfounded.

Photos? Exhibition?

My mind was racing, trying to keep up with what she was saying.

Then it hit me.

I remember that time—when Sir Era called me to his office.

That was during the phase where we were ignoring each other because of my confession.

I chuckled softly, but Aiah immediately glared at me, her brows furrowed.

"Anong nakakatawa, Mikha Lim?!"

"Hindi mo ba alam na down na down ako non cause I thought I lost you na?!" she snapped, her voice a little louder now.

I could see her eyes starting to well up again, and I knew I had to act fast.
