MIKHA'S POV
"Miks, kanina pa nakatingin sa'yo 'yon oh," Colet said.
"Give me another one." I requested the bartender, ignoring Colet's statement.
Since we arrived at the party, they've mentioned it several times, and some girls have tried to approach me, but I'm not in the mood to entertain anyone.
Maraming tao pero karamihan ay rich kid base to what I noticed. Wala naman akong napapansin na matatanda rito, karamihan ay same age as me.
I just want to drink my ass off.
We decided to hang out by the bar.
"Kilala mo ba kung sino nag paparty?" I asked Gwen.
"Yep, anak ng business partner nila Dad, hindi ko pa siya namemeet in person, but nabanggit sa'kin ng parents ko. You know, business-minded people." she answered and sipped her drink.
I nodded.
"I heard from my parents na galing States, sana chix bai." Jho added with a perverted look.
We looked at her, disgusted.
"Oh, I remember, my parents know your parents pala, nabanggit sa'kin noong weekend." I said.
"They mentioned about the intersex thingy, business partner din pala sila.
"Ironic na ngayon ko lang kayo nakilala." I added.
"Really? Jho raised an eyebrow. "Small world indeed.
"Yeah, and it gets even smaller when they start planning our futures." I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "But hey, at least it means we get to attend these kinds of parties.
Gwen smirked. "Yeah, and hopefully meet some interesting people." She added.
"Speaking of which, tignan mo, Miks. There's another chix eyeing you from across the room."
"Hanep bai, papunta rito."
I sighed and took another sip of my drink.
"Let's just enjoy the night, okay? no more talking about chix muna dude."
Napansin ata nila na tamlay ang boses ko, knowing what's the reason.
Colet gave me a sympathetic look. "Just know we're here for you, okay? If you ever need to talk or anything."
"Thanks, guys," I said, managing a small smile. "I appreciate it."
"Hey, speaking of which, what do you guys think about Jeremy?" Gwen asked, glancing over at the crowd.
I tensed up slightly at the mention of Jeremy, trying to hide my discomfort. "He seems... fine, I guess, haven't really talked to him much."
Colet noticed my reaction and gave me a knowing look.
"He's with Aiah right now, isn't he?" She asked.
"No -uh, nanliligaw pa lang daw eh." Matipid kong sagot.
"Well, don't let it ruin your night, dude. Let's just have fun and make the most of it." Jho said, patting me on the back.
"Yeah, tumama ka rin, Jho." I said, trying to shake off the heavy feeling in my chest.
"Pero guys papunta nga rito!" Ayaw talaga manahimik ni Jho kaya humarap na lang ako sa counter at humingi ulit ng panibagong shot.
I took a deep breath and downed my drink, hoping the alcohol would numb the pain in my chest.
