MIKHA'S POV

We're at the cafeteria waiting for Aiah to eat lunch together, hindi pa sila break time.

Nakasandal ako sa upuan, wearing my shades. My head still throbbed from the hangover.

"How was your first class?" Maloi asked, but none of us answered.

I knew she was referring to me and my cousins, who were also resting their heads on the table, clearly suffering from hangovers

"What do you think?" I asked sarcastically.

"Late ka at marami kang natanggap na sermon galing sa bestfriend mo." she teased.

I didn't bother responding and was about to take a nap when I heard my best friend's voice.

"How was your first class?" she asked as she sat beside me.

Stacey and Maloi burst into laughter.

"I already asked them, pare parehas may hangover." Maloi replied while laughing.

"You all deserve it. You wouldn't survive without alcohol, lahat na ata ng bar napuntahan n'yo" sermon ni Aiah.

here we go again with her lecturing

"At least may sex life." pambabara ni Maki.

"Agreed, malay mo na sa one night stand ang true love." gatong ni Gelo.

true love? katabi n'yo parehas ang true love n'yo.

If I'm in love with my best friend, the four of them are all in denial.

They're all afraid to take risks, so they've all kept their feelings hidden.

My cousins have crushes on the two girls next to them but don't bother to pursue them because they believe they wouldn't click, and they're not ready for a serious relationship since they're enjoying casual flings.

They also think they don't stand a chance with Stacey and Maloi.

The girls both have a taste in men, but sadly wala man lang sa dalawa ang nakapasok don.

lol mga babaero ba naman.

Stacey and Maloi share the same mindset but with more valid reasons.

They believe they're too good to be with Maki and Gelo, who are both players, so they've also decide na just to hide their feelings.

However, they all get jealous when Maki and Gelo flirts with other girls or when someone tries to court Stacey and Maloi, although they never show it outwardly.

How do I know all this? I've observed, and my best friend has also told me about it.

how ironic that she knows that and not even has a single idea that I'm in love with her.

"Ba't di pa kayo nag order?" she asked.

"Girl, duh, we're waiting for you." Stacey answered while playing with her pink nails.

Inirapan naman s'ya ni Aiah.

"Maaga pa naman, besides same tayong lahat ng next subject." Maloi added.

Aiah sighed and nudges me.

"Al, go get our food please." She requested.

Hindi ko s'ya pinansin.

alam ng masakit ulo nong tao eh uutusan pa.

She nudges me again.

"Aiah please, kayo naman kumuha ng order natin. Just for now, please, masakit talaga ulo ko." I pleaded.
