MIKHA'S POV
Nagising naman ako ng may naramdaman akong nakapatong sa likod ko.
I tried to figure out who the culprit was, but when I smelled the sweet strawberry scent, I already knew it was Aiah.
Even though my body was aching and I wanted to get up, I chose to let her be for a moment.
It's been forever since we cuddled like this.
I was surprised when she moved and lay down beside me.
Now we were face to face, with her lying down while I was on my stomach.
I stared at her perfect face. I could feel the giddiness in my nerves and the butterflies flying in my stomach because of our closeness.
Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili ko, samot saring emosyon ko ang nararamdaman ko ngayon.
Minsan iniisip ko rin kung pa'no n'ya nagagawang iparamadam sa'kin ang mga bagay bagay just because of her simple touch, smile, laugh, and voice, and just being close to me like this.
I'm helplessly in love with my best friend at kahit gustuhin ko man o hindi, alam kong matatagalan or walang pagasa na mawala ang nararamdaman ko sa kaniya.
Aiah snuggled close to me, sumiksik s'ya sa may leeg ko and I heard her murmured.
"I miss this." she said with her sleepy voice.
And by her saying that, nag assume na naman akona siguro may pagasa, siguro gusto n'ya rin ako, siguro gusto n'ya rin ng mag kadikit kami ng ganito.
But hope is cruel stuff for my heart, a cruel word to me, because the tiny hope I had, vanished like a blink of an eye with the next words she said.
"I miss my bestfriend so much."
I smiled bitterly.
This will always be my reality, and I need to face it, that no matter what happens, I will never reach my best friend the way I desire, in a way that goes beyond friendship.
She fluttered open her eyes and smiled widely at me.
"Good morning," she softly said, making me smile.
"Good morning, pretty," I greeted back.
I looked at her strangely when she sniffed, but she smiled even more, causing my heart to skip a beat because of her smile..
"It's that's why you're avoiding being close to me?" She asked while fixing my hair.
Napakunot naman ako ng noo sa sinabi n'ya.
"Oh come on stop acting clueless, Miks." She looked at my lower part at binalik ang tingin sa'kin.
Namula naman ako ng magets ko ang sinasabi n'ya at napabangon agad.
Narinig ko naman s'yang tumatawa.
"Seriously Aiah? You have the audacity to ask me that stuff habang nasa kama tayo?" I asked her in disbelief.
"HAHAHAHA why? It's not a big deal, as if naman may gagawin kang kalokohan dzuh we're best friends." Natatawa pa rin n'yang sagot n'ya.
"I won't do anything stupid, pero sana aware ka na umaga ngayon, and as a girl with a man's private part, you should be aware that it's normal for me to have a boner." I said habang namumula.
She looked at my abdomen and quickly averting her gaze while blushing.
"YAHHHHHHH MARAIAH QUEEN ARCETA GET OUT OF MY ROOM NOW!"
