Peridot's POV:
The crowd went wild with spontaneous, energetic shouts of excitement. There was a crowd that was way bigger than the other shows I have ever performed at. So many that it felt impossible to count, but nonetheless, I made sure they got a real show before leaving the stage.
"I couldn't tell you what this was all about."
"What I learned, what I heard through word of mouth."
"Ouch!"
"God, you could've left this out."
"This was a lesson I could have lived without!"
We sang a song named "Ouch" by Nxdia, the last song that would have been performed by the band for tonight.
As the song came to an end, I made sure to thank my many fans who were shouting toward the stage, eager to get on the stage as quickly as they could, no thanks to security in their case. "Thank you all for coming tonight! We hope we get to see you again soon!" I said as I waved to the many people below me while the rest of the band members stepped off the stage. I quickly jerked my head towards them, deciding to follow their lead and walk off behind them to the backstage.
"Whoo baby! What a night!" Amethyst said as she pumped her fists and jumped up into the air as far as she could, her miniature chubby legs not really helping the power plunge. "Hell yeah, it was, I'd say one of the best," Jasper said in a smug tone as she leaned against the metal, cross-braced pole that held the stage stable. "Good job, team," Garnet said simply as she gave us all a thumbs up and a smile lingering on her lips. "Yeah yeah, the show was spectacular, but we really need to eat something, man! I feel like my stomach has a mouth itself," Amethyst said with her face in a desperate groan, begging for just something to be put in front of her and to gobble it right up. I simply rolled my eyes and decided to help Amethyst out in her case. "We can quickly grab something at Brunch it up, they have the best, or what you call 'snacks' there," I said with my hands resting on my thighs, hoping for a yes. "Oh, someone wants to pay her girlfriend a visit, huh?" Amethyst said as she leaned her body over mine in a looming manner, teasing. I could see Jasper wasn't entirely pleased with Amethyst's tease towards me, but I brushed it off quickly. My face heated up slightly at Amethyst's remark. "We are not girlfriends, you clod!" I said as I balled my fists up and stomped my foot on the ground, my tiny temper tantrum continuing. But yes, Amethyst was practically correct. I really, really wanted to see Lapis.
It's been a month since Lapis decided to spend the night at my house, and ever since that night, we have only grown closer and closer... I can still feel her soft lips that had pecked my forehead that one night. I remember it like it was yesterday. Just the thought of it made me go into a blush frenzy. The one time we spend together, I can't help but feel myself being drawn towards her more and more. She's basically perfect in every way, and I'm pretty sure I love her with my whole heart as well. My mind was lingering to even ask her out sometime, but I always chicken out being too frightened. The one time my cockiness and confidence needed to come into play, it completely vanishes, leaving me stumbling on my words and making my face heat up when I even try to ask her out. I eventually gave it a rest, but I'm not giving up that easily. I just need the right timing to ask her.
"I'm just kidding, or am I? Mwahaha!" Amethyst said as she raced towards my car parked in front of the entrance of the Walk of Fame, an open path we would like to take when all the fans are wanting autographs from left and right. "Come on, losers! Let's go grab a bite!" Amethyst said as she beamed in excitement and, which I would guess, hunger. I gave a low sigh as I followed behind her first, and the rest of the band behind me just shrugged. I'm sure they won't be as hungry as Amethyst, but I think they would like something to eat as well. All I could think about was Lapis at this time; never mind food, I can always eat later.
