Quite the Surprise [Destiel/Sabriel AU]

Chapter 4

In the kitchen, Sam had managed to get on top of the counter, and was now trying to open a cabinet. "I will never take thumbs for granted ever again," he declared as his task seemed impossible. He finally managed to get the cabinet open, and was met with quite the surprise.

"Hiya, Samsquatch!" a small-ish, light brown cat with fluffy fur exclaimed from inside the cabinet. Gabriel.

Sam nearly fell off the counter. He jumped in surprise and his fur fluffed out uncontrollably. "Gabe!"

"Woah, woah. Calm down, moosie!" Gabriel laughed, hopping out of the cabinet and landing gracefully in front of the startled moose-cat. Show off.

"Gabe.. did you do this?" Sam asked. There was a high possibility that he would pull a trick like this. Being an archangel, Gabriel would have the power to turn them all into cats.

"You betcha, Sammy. Having fun?" he purred, slowly pacing around Sam teasingly, brushing up against him a few times.

Sam's tail twitched back and forth slowly as he tried to hide in his fluffy brown fur. "Hhmmppphh.." he grumbled.

"You're enjoying it, aren't you? Being a cat?"

As cool as it was to see the world through a new perspective, that isn't really what Sam was enjoying. He chose not to answer as his eyes scanned the room, looking for every which reason not to make eye contact with the trickster currently teasing him. 'I feel like I'm going to explode.. My heart is racing.. Calm down, Sam. Show no reaction...' he thought to himself. "Gabriel, we need you to change us back."

"And what if I say no?" he chimed.

"Then I'll make you," Sam threatened.

"I'd like to see you try~" Gabriel snickered.

Sam rolled his eyes and picked Gabriel up by the scruff with his teeth. Gabriel wriggled under his grasp, whining and complaining about how Sam should put him down or 'feel his holy wrath.' "Well that's what you get for being a pain," Sam replied through a mouthful of fur. Jumping off the counter, and making sure he didn't hurt Gabriel in the process, Sam went to present the cause of today's craziness to Dean, Castiel, and Bobby.
