The courtroom buzzed with tension as Dave stood before the tribunal, his heart pounding in his chest as he awaited his fate. The weight of the judge's gaze bore down upon him, the gravity of the situation pressing in from all sides.
"You have been found guilty of treason against the crown," the judge intoned, his voice echoing through the silent chamber. "And it is the decision of this tribunal that you shall be sentenced to death by decapitation."
Dave felt a cold shiver run down his spine at the judge's words, the reality of his impending execution crashing down upon him like a tidal wave. He cast a desperate glance around the courtroom, searching for any sign of mercy in the faces of the assembled nobles and courtiers, but found none.
As the guards moved forward to escort him from the courtroom, Dave's thoughts turned to Ares, his heart aching with longing for his beloved prince. He knew that their time together was running out, that soon he would be torn from Ares' embrace forever.
But even in the face of death, Dave refused to give up hope. He clung to the memory of Ares, the warmth of his touch, the softness of his voice, knowing that their love would endure, even in death.
And so, as he was led away to await his execution, Dave whispered a silent prayer to the heavens, a fervent plea for strength and courage in the face of adversity.
In the dim light of the dungeon cell, Dave sat huddled in the corner, his thoughts consumed by memories of Ares. The hours stretched on like endless eternity, each moment a cruel reminder of the time slipping away from them.
And then, as if summoned by the force of his longing, Ares appeared before him, his face pale and drawn with grief.
"Dave," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath as he sank to his knees beside him.
Dave's heart clenched at the sight of Ares, the pain of their impending separation like a dagger twisting in his chest. "Ares," he replied, his voice thick with emotion as he reached out to gently cup the prince's face in his hands.
Ares ran to him and hugged him tightly, then whispered into his ear: "What will i do without you...". Dave couldn't help but hug him tightly closer to his body, wanting to feel ares' scent for the last time...
For a long moment, they hugged in silence, their eyes locked in a silent exchange of love and longing. And then, finally, Ares spoke, his voice trembling with emotion.
"Until death tears us apart," he whispered, his words a solemn vow of devotion.
Dave felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes at Ares' words, a bittersweet ache settling in his heart. "Until death tears us apart," he echoed, his voice filled with the weight of their impossible love.
And as they sat there, bathed in the dim light of the dungeon cell, Dave knew that even in death, their love would endure, unyielding and unbreakable, against all odds. For as long as they held each other in their hearts, they would never truly be apart.
