-Jahaan-

I am officially a gone case. Dhivti Verma has hypnotized me, not that I am complaining though. She is a mystery that I intend to unravel at all costs. Yesterday, when I was cleaning her haldi from her cheeks, I saw something different in her eyes. For me. She wanted to stop me but at the same time, she couldn't and being the bastard that I am, I enjoyed every bit of closeness with her. I noticed her blushing and at that moment, I realized what happiness felt like. I freaking loved that I affected her. Our closeness affected her.

"OH MY GOD," Aarav exclaims and I get startled.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?" I ask him, clearly irritated.

"Bhai, I think you need to see a doctor. Come with me yaar, I can't lose you. You are my only brother from another mother."

"What the hell?" I am so confused.

He suddenly hugs me. "Tu chinta mat kar mere bhai, kuch nahi hone dunga mein tumhe," (Don't worry brother, I won't let anything happen to you) I push him away from me, "What is going on? Have you finally lost it?" I ask.

"Exactly. What is going on? How can you smile?"

"Excuse me?"

"Bhai, you were just smiling by yourself. The Jahaan Joshi smiling all alone? Impossible. Tu chal yaar, checkup kara," (You come pal, get a checkup done) I just facepalm myself. I forgot I got 'drama' in name of a best friend in my life.

"Aarav."

"Yes?"

"Fuck off."

He gasps dramatically and thankfully, just leaves. Not before giving me a stinky eye. Dhivti Verma. The things you make me experience.

.

Aarav and Anisha's sangeet has started and I am very late. I was engrossed on a patient file and I received a call from Aarav, abusing me. I hurried to leave for his sangeet.

'You just want to see Dhivti, lover-boy.'

'No, I don't.'

'Then what's the hurry for? Take your time.'

'Aarav is waiting. That's all. The only reason.''

'Sure Sure, loverboy.'

I shake my head and shut off my subconscious mind.

I reach the venue and walk inside only to bump into someone. As a reflex, my hands move to hold the person and then her face comes to my view. The face I will never get tired of seeing. Dhivti Verma. I love the fact that she always ends up in my arms, Yeah, call me a bastard but at least I get to hold her.

She stands straight after realizing what just happened and I look at her. She looks stunning. The lehenga looks appealing on her.

"Mr. Joshi?" she calls out which breaks my trance. I clear my throat, "Yes?"

"You are staring," she says, looking everywhere but at me. I notice a red hue on her cheeks. Is she blushing? Shit. Yes. This is undoubtedly my most favorite sight.

"Why, Ms. Verma?" I tease, knowing it won't help her situation. She glares at me. Yup, my second most favorite sight. I smile in return. I told her that her glares don't scare me but I guess she doesn't believe me.

"It is rude."

"I assure you Dhivti, my eyes will never hold bad intentions for you. I have never and will never look at you that way." I say, my tone turning serious because I don't want her to misunderstand me. Heck, I would never have bad intentions for her. Not even in my nightmares.
