Steph: Come on, Tessa. It's Friday. Just come with us and we'll drop you back off before we go to Har... I mean the party.

I shook my head.

I didn't feel like doing anything.

I need to study and I'm sure my mother will be calling me again tonight. She had been calling me nonstop all week but I had been ignoring them, I really couldn't be dealing with her but I couldn't hide from her forever.

Tessa: I think I'll pass. I have a lot of stuff to do anyway. And I'm really not bothered.

I really wasn't bothered all week and I had random thoughts from Hardin, I even dreamed about him a couple of times, Hardin was annoying me without even having to be here.

It was driving me crazy.

Steph: Tessa?

Tessa: What?

Tristan: Oh, come on. You've been wearing those fuzzy cloud pyjamas all week. And I'll drop you off back to the dorms before we go to the party.

Tessa: Okay. Okay. I'll come but I need you to drop me off right after dinner because I have stuff to do.

She clapped her hands and jumped up and down.

Steph: Yay. Just please. Let me do you a favour.

Tessa: What?

Steph: Let me give you a little makeover. Please.

Tessa: No way.

Steph: Nothing too dramatic. I just want to make you look like you haven't been hiding in your pyjamas all day.

She smiled and Tristan tried to stifle his laugh.

Tessa: Fine.

I gave in like I always do.

She clapped again.

When she was doing my makeup, she turned me around on the chair opposite side of the mirror, so I was facing it and refused me to look at me until she was done. I tried to fight my nerves of me, while she put powder on my face.

I reminded her over and over not to overdo it with the makeup, she promised she wouldn't.

She brushed my hair and curled it before spraying it with hairspray.

Steph: Makeup and hair are done. Let's get you changed then you can see yourself. I have a few things that will fit you.

I followed her to the closet and tried to sneak peek in her small mirror but she yanked me away.

Steph: Here. Put this on.

She pulled a black dress off the hanger.

Steph: You. Out.

She told Tristan and he laughed but left the room.

Tessa: I can't wear this.

The dress was strapless, and no way was I wearing a strapless top. No way.

Steph: Fine. How about this one?

She pulled on another black dress from the closet. This one looked longer than the last and had two thick straps.

The neckline worried me because it was in the shape of a heart and I never like them dresses.

But I was sure she had other dresses similar to this one. So I didn't want to complain.

Steph: Just try it, please?

I sighed and took off my comfortable pyjamas and changed it with the dress. The dress, as I thought, was just too short, I tried to pull on the material to make it pull down a little.
