Dear Draco,

Fred and I miss you! Your depart was prompt and we're worried we scared you off. Well, I am. Fred is reading a newspaper while grumbling loudly.

Our dad's been keeping us on the loop about the unofficial alliance of remaining Death Eaters. They've been doing searches up north, and found a half-life abandoned in a cemetry. It had been drinking unicorn blood. They found a bewitched map on him, some kind of enigma. You can pop in and have a chat with him if you'd like, he's proper friendly unlike mum.

Oh, please excuse Fred (and I) for our wrestling and everything the other day. He's a bit of a goon, can't think for five seconds before saying or doing something. Hope there wasn't any mixed signals.

Love, George x

PS: We really liked you, please come back sometime. But make it after 5pm at the shop. And I'll tell Fred to tone it down. <3

Draco was awoken by the loud familiar thud of the bird hitting the window

Draco was awoken by the loud familiar thud of the bird hitting the window. He grumbled, he had overslept again. Luckily, that letter managed to lift his spirits up again. George was right, Fred was a reckless lunatic who had never heard of self-control, initiating physical contact at will without the other's consent. George, he had noticed, was more collected and shy, more slow with things, albeit hard to notice since they were together all the time. He was sweet, Draco appreciated his care. Fred on the other hand, Draco could've asked to kiss him on the spot and he would've done it without second thoughts. What a lunatic.

Draco decided he was going to take his life in his own hands, from then on. There was a certain advantage to being so alone, without his father's constant demands and reprimands. He had spent years of his life trying to please him and doing everything in his might to become superior to that Harry Potter kid, as well as constantly trying to prove himself to some Slytherin prats, keeping cold and entertainment-less alliances, or listening to these dull teachers who really knew nothing when it came to real matters. Draco had already planned on starting a correspondence with the family of the girl he was to marry, he was going to inquire Luna and Trelawney about his visions, keep the snake Severus out of his way, take over the family paperwork, and if he could, visit the mansion again. There was a lot of family heirloom to attend to, even though the task dawned on him. He would study the Dark Arts diligently. This year wasn't going to waste, he almost enjoyed his newfound liberty, which was probably that of adulthood. On top of that, he was rich and respected. He could leave the country tomorrow, and instantly garner respect just by saying his name.

Another advantage of being alone, was that noone cared what relationships Draco had or didn't have. Noone suspected him to be gay, he was headed off to be married, people probably still thought he was with Pansy. He could have all the fun and power he wanted, even allowing himself some dark fantasies... So long as he found a way to keep the twins' chatty mouths shut, something Draco was competent at. He grinned despicably at the thought of it.

He took out a quill, and began writing on a piece of parchment:

Dear George,

Meet me at the Black Lake on Friday afternoon, 5pm. Don't tell Fred, and don't let him come. Don't tell him under any circumstances.

Draco. <3

Draco wondered if he came across as too straightforward and cold, so he added the heart at the end

Draco wondered if he came across as too straightforward and cold, so he added the heart at the end. He folded the letter and handed it to Twiggles, patting its bobby head.

"Send it to George okay? George only. Foolish bird."

One thing done.
